Hi all, still getting intermittent computer access but hoping to get permanent on Friday (yey!)...
Thanks for that giant creme egg photo and info on pimpthatsnack website kisto, I think you'll find we discussed it (and slobbered about it!:p ) a few pages back - maybe you skipped a page or two in your reading of this E-NOR---MOUS thread?!....
Did anybody make the marbled chocolate brownies? Haven't seen any photos... Maybe I'll HAVE to do it?...maybe? I'm interested in seeing if I can get that wonderful swirly pattern on the top.. (Yes, I'll put a piccy on if I do!)...
I liked that choccie factory programme this week, although I'd hate to live with a bloke like that, can you imagine? Glad to see he wasn't injecting pigs this week though..:D He managed to wrap Selfridges round his posh little finger though didn't he? The bloke hadn't even tried his chocolate cake and was agreeing to stock his products - maybe the TV cameras had something to do with it...:DI don't want to make money, I just want to be wonderfulMarilyn Monroe0 -

Guilty as charged! I did scan read through some pages. Doh! :doh:Ho hum! Nothing wrong with a bit of duplicate chocolate "eye candy" I suppose!
:T*Thanks to all who posts comps * :j0 -
With any luck I will be doing some easter eggs this sunday.
I have got my moulds. I am going to make a sort of kinder egg easter egg for my gfs brother. Going to go buy one so I can put the little toy thing in the egg. I bought some white chocolate that does not need tempering, for the inside of the egg for ease.
Got a few eggs to do. Hope I can make them in time. :-) only 4 to do....JeremyMarried 9th May 20090 -
Love reading this thread and looking at all the fab photos.
I am going to attempt to make some chocolates for my friends birthday next week, and have now got smallish square silicone ice cube trays from Tesco.
I'd quite like to put a smartie or similar on the top of each small chocolate, but not sure whether you put the smartie in before the melted chocolate or whether you just stick it on top with icing pen after the chocolate has set.
Any ideas?

I would stick it on top about halfway through it setting, but trial and error usually works. Welcome to the thread.A cloudy day is no match for a sunny disposition~ William Arthur Ward ~0 -

I made some heart chocs with smarties on the top. I put the smartie in the mould before the chocolate and found that the chocolate either half or completely covered the smartie so I wouldn't recommend doing it that way. I would be interested to know which way works best as I might try them again.saving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200

I would say one of the easiest ways would be to keep some melted chocolate back and then just use that to glue to smartie on the top.JeremyMarried 9th May 20090

you could also use icing sugar0
