Home made chocolate slabs

Hi all,
Just wanted to give you a tip I found when making these slabs.
I used the top of a Tupperware lid to make the chocolate bases.
I used square and rectangular ones and they were perfect as the lid provides a sort of "frame" around the edge.
They were easy to transport into the fridge for setting and did not sick.
I just turned them over onto the worktop and peeled the Tupperware lid off. Perfect!
And if one happen to break, well you'll just have to eat the evidence wont you!

Have just found a use for the tiny silicon cupcake thingies from poundland, home made choccies will work really well as you can peel the cases off and have perfect choccies- hope no one else has suggested this already cos I haven't read all the thread yet !Clearing the junk to travel light

don't worry ginnyknit, it wouldn't have mattered - always better to have a tip twice than not at all
another use for the silicon cupcakes is to use a brush and paint melted chocolate (not too hot or it's too runny) completely inside the mould - you need a couple of goes to make it quite thick - then peel away the silicon and you have a chocolate case to fill with either small truffles, M&Ms or chocolate mousse0 -
