WARNING Amazon Christmas delivery problem

I've decided the best plan is to pay the £3.83 for first class post to be in with a chance of getting my order in time for Christmas rather than take the risk of SuperSaver delivery at this stage. I felt better about it once I figured well I get free delivery the rest of the year, this is the only time I'll have to pay for delivery this year and actually it's probably worth it to get the stuff in time, and it's still cheaper than I'd have paid elsewhere so the charge is more than paid for by the savings I'm making (also saved the hassle of trying to find them somewhere else). Phew! Looks like they're about to be despatched...

I've had a book on supersaver stuck in "despatching soon" for a week. I chased them Saturday and today it has despatched.

I too am having massive problems with Amazon, placed stupidly large order with them, using Litespeed/juciy brains pts codes. 2 date I have received 2 drawstring Ben sherman bags. 17 items still outstanding, Kids are teenagers and wont be without but getting fed up driving past the B***** warehouse twice a day, whilst still waiting for my goods.

I've has the same problem with SendIt, so I cancelled and reordered with Amazon :eek: , was actually cheaper, hope it comes on time

Great. I just placed some orders on Amazon - but I didn't pay for fast delivery - it will probably not get here by Christmas. Arg. It is for my younger brothers tho, so perhaps it won't be a big deal - I'll tell them what it is when I get home. I just have no time for shopping and I don't want to take up space in my suitcase carrying the items....

You could always go into your account and add the first class delivery if it hasn't been despatched. That's what I did and status is now 'despatching soon.'

had to say - I have never used Amazon before but have used it three times in the last two weeks and all items promptly and in good condition. (I am impressed) So they can get it right - maybe it just depends on the items ordered...

I was in the same boat ordered stuff from amazon and waited a week longer than should have but it finally arrived today. But if nothing happens hassle them.
