I haven’t heard anything back. I don’t know if I’ve said it in the correct way. I haven’t contacted the local mp, what would be the best way to put it do you think?

My partner has got 3 fines now from the same car park at a school where our son is leaning to swim. She’s paid the first 2 but I said they’re just ripping us off so ignore the 3rd. I rang the school to see if they could cancel it but they said it’s a private company and there was nothing they could do. I haven’t appealed the fine formally and it has been a couple of months at least since we got the initial  notice. They’re now saying it’s £140 to pay which will be going up to £170 and they’ll be passing it on to a debt collector or something and if that doesn’t work will take us to court.

Well he had a piano lesson before the swimming lesson on the same site as well so there’s no chance.

The problem with threatening to boycott is the lessons aren’t actually run by the school, it’s an independent company who use the schools facilities for the lessons so it would affect them more than the school it’s self.

I think in your first post you explained the narrative of the events.

Plus that an hour is not enough especially given it is effecting your child's extra curricular education.

Also why not complaint to the landowner?

What can the MP do? Write to the company? Make a formal complaint? Is there a legal mechanism?
The CEL barrister is some ex-wonga bottom feeder - complaint to the business authority? Trading standards? SRA?

I’ve now received a letter from Qdr solicitors. I’ve sent a request to the dvla for information regarding how they got my info and they haven’t got back to me yet. I’m panicking a bit now to be honest, how can I win this when the signs are clear and I broke the rules?

Where's the PROMINENT term about you agreeing to pay £100?  That's the point.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I didn't see the BPA roundel on the sign with the Ts and Cs that shows the PPC is an ATA member and must abide by their code.

I think that may be a BPA CoP breach.

Two signs say Civil Enforcement Ltd and one says Creative Parking, raising confusion about which company the motorists has formed a contract.

The Creative Parking sign says £2.50/h but doesn't mention a different tariff for overnight parking that then causes confusion when the CEL sign is read.

Jo and Joanne public would rightly wonder which compoany is monitoring the car park, and which tariff is correct.

It's in the 'P' at the top of that T&Cs sign...

But not on the one with the charges or consequences of not conforming to them, nor on the Creative Parking sign.

Thanks for the help! So if then ends up going to court I can say they the signs aren’t clear and that would be enough?
