@LAston1 sees off UKPC and DCB Legal, who do their usual 'about-turn' when faced with enemy fire! White flag waving, yet again! 🏳️374

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I would like to add my own record of DCB Legal Discontinuance to this thread. I haven't posted anything about this until now but did read the templates for help.
I first received a money claim form in December last year claiming £276 in relation to parking at Bradgate Park, Leicestershire in June 2020. Spring Parking Ltd were the claimants and DCB Legal were acting for them. I note from street view that there have recently been ANPR barriers installed at this car park.
I filed my AOS and my defence in early January this year. I believe one of their tactics to be aware of is making claims just before christmas in the hope that people are busy and wont reply in time. Worth people bearing in mind as there will probably be a slew of claims made this December.
I then had a directions questionnaire which i also filled in and returned. Eventually the case was given a hearing date for this August at the County Court in Northampton.
In mid June i received a letter from DCB stating that "Without prejudice save as to costs" they were willing to accept £60 to settle. They stated that the current balance was £302. As soon as i received this letter i pretty much knew i had won. So it wasn't a surprise when i rang the court today as the deadline for submitting my witness statement approached they they told me that 2 days ago DCB Legal had sent an email saying they were giving up and accepting a defeat in this matter. I wouldn't say im relieved as i had full confidence in the outcome throughout and even if it proceeded to court i thought i had a good defence.6 -
