Thanks for confirmation. I'm only recording those cases discontinued by DCB Legal. But very well done, forcing a discontinuation out of PE is a great scalp, once they embark on litigation, they almost always go the full mile. A very nasty little monkey off your back. 👍dancingdough said:

I had a hearing coming up on 11th June with ParkingEye for an overstay in Welcome Break. I was a bit worried about this one. On the day I had had some bad news and wasn't sure how long I had parked as my mind was elsewhere and although I complained afterwards I wasn't able to get a reprieve. So I decided to defend the claim as best I could using the amazing help of this site. I just received the attached letter in the post which is a notice to discontinue. I'm so relieved and also so grateful for this site. Thanks again everyone.

He/she has battled this without direct forum help - nice one! 👍Morning! I wanted to message you about my successful DCB Legal discontinuation!Note the auto-calls on Christmas Day. Do they have no shame? As @SE012 says, 'Special place in hell for these scumbags'. They certainly have a (less than) special place on this thread!
I feel like it's taken a very long time! But having used all the materials and advice on these boards, I stuck to my guns and left it to the 11th hour, and today they emailed:
"We act for the Claimant in the above matter.Our client has instructed us to discontinue Court proceedings and close our file. Therefore, please find enclosed the Claimant’s N279 Notice of Discontinuance for your records.
The attached has also been filed with the Court.
We will now proceed to close our file accordingly. "
They had until 4pm to pay the court fee!
This is from a ticket that was originally issued on 27/08/2022... that's how long they've been battling me on this one. Which has included threatening phone calls and even automated voicemails being left on Christmas day.
Special place in hell for these scumbags eh!

Got it. @Hayleigh1982 puts UKPC and DCB Legal away. Extremely late Notice of Discontinuation, opening up the dreadful duo to abuse of process costs. @FGLLA received a claim for three PCNs for Excel Parking. Case passed to DCB Legal, guaranteeing that if it was properly defended, discontinuation would follow as night follows day. So here we are:364
