This was ignored followed by a DISCONTINUED letter FROM DCBL

This has become serial timewasting by DCBL and probably abuse of MCOL

Nice one. As expected. As you say, what a total waste of your time, but well done on your resilience in fighting this pernicious sector. 

Unfortunately, for every one who achieves a discontinuation through dogged determination not to pay, there will be many, many more who capitulate at the first solicitor letter they receive, believing that this rubbish is urgent, life-style threatening, that they are in some kind of legal trouble, and immediately reach for their cheque books in blind panic.

Hi - so I had a notice of discontinuation on a claim in April this year, half an hour after submitting my witness statement and bundle to the court/DCB - deadline day for submission as well as I am that disorganised!

I am currently enjoying my Friday evening prepping another witness statement and bundle to be submitted by Monday.  I hope for another discontinuation notice and have had the standard £150 offer - which I have to say sounds tempting against hours messing about with formatting/pdfs at times - though I keep going in the cause of not giving in to these cowboys.  Note I have flagged yet again that they should not have had 2 concurrent claims running but combined them as per Henderson v Henderson - obviously no one reads this or cares as it was totally ignored by DCB last time and through to now - just another slapdash cowboy thing that is truly annoying.

I am not sure if you're collecting numbers or want copies of e-mails discontinuing/notices? If you do happy to help - I do know that months after the help I received I still have not posted my witness statement - I am having trouble redacting it online, I did do it once but then had to pay to keep my redactions - I may try again to do it whilst doing this new bundle.

Discontinued by 10:30am today on deadline for witness statements which I mailed in Saturday. I was worried the court wouldn’t get them properly with mailing out of court hours, so was keeping an eye on my mailbox thinking I may resend. Obviously, no need to do so after that! I wonder if they even read the statement submitted or automatically withdraw? Twice I’ve had this within 90 minutes of them opening the bundle.

Just to note both my discontinuances were dcb legal on behalf of highview - seems highview like to take it to last point where they’d have to do some work - they do wait until witness statement is in so some work is necessary on the defendant’s part.
