Yours also has five connectors?
So, yes, each brown separately into its own connector, so you'll have two left. NOTHING goes into the other two. Nothing. Unless you like bangs.
A three-terminal jobbie would have made more sense.
PLEASE label the browns first in case you ever revert back to a switch. LIVE, LIVE & SWITCH.
(Still should have gone for a key switch...)
Have you also bought a blanking cover? Or are you replacing the now-unused switch that'll drive folk nuts?1 -

JUST IN THE LAST TIME 3 TIMES MY FLAT LIGHTS HAVE TRIPPED....MEANS THE SWITCH FROM the main board turned itself off...i know i was messing about with it......so..i am back to the basic...
please tell me how do i put a key operated switch like the photo someone put on here from tooltation. ????? cheers...i did nothing with a dimmable switch the alexa dont agree with the or vice versa...but from time to time the bulbs would come on and dim themselves and brighten again and this goes on all day.........
It isn't difficult, but you appear to be out of your depth. Please get an electrician, or at least someone who understands basic household lighting to sort it out.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. We have Alexa controlled hue and govee lights in every light fitting but we retained the switches because 1) aesthetics - rooms look weird without switches of some sort and 2) when the internet goes down, Alexa isn't working or you've lost your voice and cba using an app, it's easier to use a switch and those key plates don't look very nice.

Best solution for smart switches has to be the click smart system, still uses physical rocker switches, you just attach a module in the switch and it makes it smart. you require a hub thats about £45, each receiver is about £20, you can even get sockets and other smart gadgets
-guests will still be able to work the lights without a list of instructions
-it'll still work if alexa goes offline/wifi goes off or any connectivity issues
-can fit any bulb you like0 -

Cool, in which case please fit a key switch instead of connectors fitted behind a blanking plate. It just seems like the most obvious solution to me - it's EXACTLY the same as fitting a normal light switch.

Personally, I’d fit a normal switch. Put some tape on for a few days, until you remember not to switch it off. It’s cheaper than a key switch and easier to source. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?1
