I have not read the new T&C but in the past, no. Also it is a norm among industries switching is done on the external accounts.

From the title suggests:

£160 cashback for Santander Switch for new and existing customers. But the hurdle you will need to switch an account. Not to mention the DD requirement.

Once you get the switching incentive or even earlier (?) you could move your £1000 or close your account (or try to find another switching incentive) if you no longer need it.

I switched to Santander under the previous offer earlier this year (having already switched and received a bonus on the offer before that, at the end of 2021), and didn’t receive the bonus.  So in my experience they are good at spotting “offenders”.

Did you apply using a new login or using the existing one ??

As per the terms:

2. Eligibility To qualify for the Switcher Offer and the Cashback Payment the following eligibility criteria apply: 2.1 You need to have instructed us to start a full switch from a personal current account not held with us, cahoot or Cater Allen (‘Old Account’) to a new or existing 1I2I3, 1I2I3 Lite, Everyday, Select, or Private Current Account held with Santander UK plc using the Current Account Switch Service (CASS) on or after 2 August 2022 and before the Switcher Offer is withdrawn, see condition 4.3 below (‘Qualifying Account’).

Yes, I have (and have gone for this one as well - nothing ventured, nothing gained  )

I happened to have an old BoS Reward account surplus to requirements.

Ok that's great then seems that the Amazon offer hasn't stopped people getting switching bonuses so I'll have a go at this one. Thanks to all who answered my question
