OVO have just payed me the full 4% on my Oct dd plus the £66 rebate.WillPS said:Daliah said:Ovo are taking my usual DD (enough for £10 cashback), and have separately paid £66 into my 123 Lite account. As my next Santander cashback is not due until early November, I won't know until then whether Santander will work out the net amount for cashback purposes.I have never known for payments from utilities to reduce the amount of cashback payable. Should only be the Direct Debit amount which is considered.0 -
Doesn't any cashback today relate to September DD's, in which case the rebates hadn't started?graham47 said:OVO have just payed me the full 4% on my Oct dd plus the £66 rebate.0 -

Not neccessarily, Santander don't use calendar months annoyingly. In my case my Santander month runs 8th-7th-ish and my energy DD is paid around the 1st-3rd, so the 'September' month included my October 3rd £250 DD.

Not quite same circs as described by Daliah, but when Octopus refunded £160 of my credit balance a few months ago, Santander did not do any ‘netting off’.WillPS said:Daliah said:Ovo are taking my usual DD (enough for £10 cashback), and have separately paid £66 into my 123 Lite account. Can’t complain at £10 cashback just for paying a couple of DD.
Going forward £5 not bad either especially as my energy suppliers have hiked my DDs to over £250 per month now 😭0 -

I think cashback applies to DD’s in that statement period. In my case that included October.
(my original post should, of course, have referred to “Santander”.)0
