Might as well whack my DD up a bit for those months. Extra cashback & build up a bit of extra credit for the winter
Ahh flipping flip. It's so easy when someone says it.

I never thought of that. Total d'oh moment.

Quick maths for those who can - have I figured it right ... up the D/D to £250 & that'll bag you the £10 cap?

I've probably missed out on September but I can change it for October & then drop it again for November.

    ...................................
Well they want me to decrease my payments to £155 from £175.
Tried setting at £250 but they say the max I can pay is £248.
Comes in to effect 3rd October so it says.

My statement date seems to be around the 25-27th of the month.

I know I'm going to get this wrong here but am I then looking at the 4% being September & October in my case but not November - so once payment has been taken 3rd October & 3rd November it's then that I change the amount back down?

For the record, I pay gas & electric in one.

You may not have missed September depending on your Santander statement date. See the table on the link below

Superb. Thank you. Looks like I've not missed the boat.

Although the table doesn't make total sense to me as it seems you're only supposed to get your statement on 1st / 15th / 30th of the month, nothing else.

Mine is on none of those dates.

Most recent was for 27th July - 26th August with the current account statement being 30th August (so ok, ticks the 30th box but that's only due to how the usual date landed)

but prior to this it goes:

    27th July
    28th June
    27th May
    27th April

And as I don't see it on the OP then this is just for easy reference for myself so I don't need to go clicking links:

And a nice search term so I can find it easy enough: santanderenergycashback

Whilst your statement date may not be on the table, it is relatively easy to work out the double cashback date for any statement date.

It looks like your statement dates will be 27 Sep and 27 Oct and your double cashback will apply to DDs between 27 Sep and 26 Oct and 27 Oct and 26 Nov.

Apologies regarding the link you mention which is not on my OP but on my second post just below the OP.

Ahh right, I wondered if something was maybe wrong with my account as that page suggested you could only get statements on those dates.

Oh I give up with this message board & the quoting system. The end of your post was supposed to then appear here with my reply under it.

Basically - don't apologise. You link may link to the page but for a quick visual, my picture showed the table without clicking. I did it for myself really to refer back to if I need to. I just search that term & it should direct me to that post easy enough, rather than trying to find a link or a page on a site.

Though if the quoting setup is anything to go by, I'm not hopeful for a search.

I misread and hence misunderstood your reference to the table not being on the first post.  :)

It is convenient having it on your post and I used it as I was constructing my post!

I was going to up my monthly Ovo DD a little, to £310, to get the max cashback. However, Ovo insist my DD needs to be £960 a month (hilarious!!!!) and there's clearly no way I will agree to pay that much, particularly as I have never failed to pay the agreed DD amount, and I currently am in credit with over £1,000.
Ovo have removed their check for the minimum monthly DD, so I was now able to change my DD to my desired amount.

I think I've got this right...

All my qualifying DDs go out on the first of the month, my Statement date is 13th.   Today I've received my usual cashback, with Energy @ 2%

I'll get double cashback for my 1st October DD, paid on 13th October, and same again in November?
How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)

That is what I would expect although I think the DDs would go out on Mon 3rd Oct.

My statement date is the 10th and my electricity DD is the first working day of the month. I will post on the 10th Oct to advise if my double cashback has arrived.

    Sounds about right to me.
