wow all my energy worries are now over, thank you Santander.I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.6 -
And there was me thinking they'd pull it.... maybe that gem will follow....in November 😉How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0

Santander's move, though modest in the big scheme of things, should please the many on this forum who scramble for just a few pence more in interest/rewards/cashback etc.3 -
Might as well whack my DD up a bit for those months. Extra cashback & build up a bit of extra credit for the winter1

My monthly energy bill will be going up from £46 to about £120 in April 2023 and I am getting excited over a possible extra £18 cashback.1 -

Initially thought this would result in an increase of over £3 in cashback for September and October energy bills. Whilst this increase in cashback still applies, remember we will all receive a £66 cash rebate off our energy DD`s for October and November and £67 for December January February and March. This will result in Santander paying out less cashback for those 6 months so perhaps they have taken this into their calculations and makes them less generous than first appears. I am still pleased about it, as I count myself to be one of Zanderman`s "scramblers"!

Does anyone read that as a cap of £10 on electricity and a £10 cap on gas, or is that just wishful thinking on my part?I certainly intend to increase my DD's for September and October to take advantage.0
