Does anyone read that as a cap of £10 on electricity and a £10 cap on gas, or is that just wishful thinking on my part?

I certainly intend to increase my DD's for September and October to take advantage.
    YEAH!

Cap is doubled to £10. But not £10 each for gas and electricity.  It's £10 max for the two of them together. PLUS £10 for the home & life insurance category

For those who do not have a Santander current account: Santander have also launched a £160 switch offer. Sadly nothing for existing customers who previously received a switch bonus this time but you are eligible if you never had a switch bonus from Santander

That's actually pretty decent, since NatWest/RBS changed their cashback offering Santander has no direct competitor.  With that in mind I, like @Sea_Shell, was wondering if/when they were going to pull this offer, what do I know.
I'm already hitting the cap on energy cashback so an increase to £10 a month for a couple of months will be welcomed.

Why do you say nothing for existing customers, am I missing seeing anything here?

" Already have an eligible current account with us? You can switch a current account you hold elsewhere to your existing Santander one to benefit from this offer. Simply visit your local branch. You may need to book an appointment. "

" You can either switch to a new account, or one you've already got with us. "

    EDIT
Just checked terms pdf and they hve mentioned this...

2.2.2 not have previously received or participated in any
other incentive for switching to any of our accounts or
any account with cahoot or Cater Allen which are part
    of Santander UK plc

    I got excited for a minute :)

I was going to start a thread wondering when Santander would hike the 123 lite cost given I was getting more for my utility DD. I had an email today letting me know how much I'd earned since we joined Santander, this of course included the nice interest we used to get when we had the full 123 account for the 20k deposit.

I think Santander will hike up the cost of the account even though they are giving this little extra for a while. If they are giving £160 to new customers once they have more in the fold the price will go up?

wow all my energy worries are now over, thank you Santander.
    Indeed.

My monthly energy bill will be going up from £46 to about £120 in April 2023 and I am getting excited over a possible extra £18 cashback.
What do you live in - 1 room?

4 bed house, but got a 2 year fix in March 2021. 16.73p / kWh, 22.9p sc per day.

To be fair I have oil central heating which was 63p per litre when I filled up in February, went to £160 160p in March and is now 92p.

Hopefully it will continue falling until I need to fill up in November.

Edited to correct my typo. Thanks @crumpet_man .

£160?  I hope there was a missing decimal point.

Might as well whack my DD up a bit for those months. Extra cashback & build up a bit of extra credit for the winter
I was thinking the same. Probably only make £17 difference to me. But I guess that is more than interest on some accounts!
It can take upto a month for a DD increase to kick in (depending on provider and date)  . So don’t leave it too late.

It was a nice surprise when I logged into the app.

EDIT: So if I do nothing, I will loose about £8 cashback because of this ongoing rebate.
Probably not worth doing anything about it
