Hi turtles
Things have turned very spendy today! We had such a lovely weekend last weekend that we’ve decided to repeat it again this weekend so we’ve had to buy our own equipment as we borrowed it last week with fellow friends/ campers but they won’t be there. We’ve used the money from our house renovations pot - very naughty!!Tbh I was feeling a blow out coming. I keep adding random stuff to my big online shopping list and it’s really mounting up and I’m sad I can’t treat myself to tat!!My DH is great with money and has good cash flow and it’s me who talks him out of big spending but if I’m in a spendy mood (haven’t been since 2019) we are both in trouble!
- Our plans changed today as far too hot to go to local beach so saved my £20 budgeted for today so this can be used over the weekend.
- Played badminton & boules outside with ds.
- Act of kindness today was going grocery shopping instead of DH having to go & emptying dishwasher for ds (it’s his job for pocket money).- Being kind to myself was taking money to cover impulse purchases from renovating pot instead of my credit card.
- I was off today so quite stress free.
- Actually increased our possessions hope to find things to sell when making room for new items.
- Low screen time today.
- NSD still 5/15

Morning from the land of the rising sun. Have only had an hour's sleep, as received a call to collect DS1 as he had overindulged at the evening part of our agricultural show celebrations.
Glad pip is feeling better @apple_muncher, hopefully you won't be far behind!
Hugs @beanielou, hoping you feel better soon, in time for your (big) birthday!
It'll be a year since I was on Popmaster, maybe even to the day, as sure it was a Thursday, which could've been the 12th. Had had wisdom teeth removed the Monday before, so surprised I spoke as well as I did cos I was in agony!! Think I have to wait another 2 years before I can go on again, hopefully the questions won't be so hard next time! Happy with the 15 I scored anyway & pleased I could mention the turtles in my hellos at the end 😃
Walked to the show with DH yesterday morning, walked round twice, then walked home after chatting with a friend. Started to rain heavily, so got quite wet. Was surprised so many folk had umbrellas, as it's usually too windy here to open one up! Gave our entry passes to an elderly couple I know as we left. Saw Mum getting off the bus as we got close to home. Spent a happy afternoon hand stitching the details on my bear & watching a film with a very handsome actor 😋 decided to do this week's shopping when I took her home after tea, rather than have to make an additional trip this morning (Friday). Was pleased I did now, so I can go to bed & catch up on some sleep!
Grateful for (forgot to put it yesterday) DH doing the last coat of gloss paint, that the show could go ahead this year, crafting with mum, handsome actors & that folk were looking out for DS1 last night & phoned me to collect himUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Hugs Beanie.
Patchy night's sleep (more awake than asleep but did puzzles and read my book) but up early and I have been outside to lop a few more branches off next door's weed trees and some of my ivy (table has been restricting access for weeks). Felt a bit dizzy so came in and ate my yoghurt (finished off the gifted grapes earlier) and have had a sit down shower and washed my hair with the last scraps of the shampoo bar. Feeling refreshed but my legs are still aching.
I want to go out again soon (will let my body decide) to try a few places for bedding plants/ small cheap shrubs and will cross some things off my shopping list (down to the last few multivitamins so with buy enough for the next 6 months, 9 months if they're on 3 for 2). My list is growing and I really need to redo mum's accounts so I know what is mine and what is my brother's - have already handed over a couple of chunks of cash and have some in the drawer. Miscellaneous receipts floating about and need to get them in order or I'll end up out of pocket.
DS1 is talking to me again. He sent me photos of him with his baby niece (the Greek one) and then asked if I can possibly lend him some money. Not sure about it, I have repairs to do and need the small amount I have atm. Also he does not want to tell his wife he is borrowing off me (or not) - I risked getting my bitten off and asked. They rescinded his permanent Civil Servant status so he's looking for another job (might be starting on the 22nd but will miss out on pay?). Tentatively asked DS3 if he would lend him the money - I'd already said I would need the agreement in writing with the 2 repayment dates set out. Just tickled by the idea of the one they're always saying should get a proper job might end up subsidising him.
Grateful for lovely picture of DS1 holding a baby, limited communication restarted (was looking like he was never going to speak to any of us again), enjoying a new to me series, lots of large print books, starting the day slowly and calmly.6 -
Thanks, Apple. I think I'm just in a little bit of a rut. Not unhappy or stressed. I am very aware of how lucky I am. I think I need my holiday but it's not coming quick enough. Only four weeks now!
Hope you feel better, Beannie. Chest infections are really nasty things.
I've watered the plants before it gets too hot and the bedding is in the washing machine. Himself is going to Aldi shortly. He has a list but we all know he'll come back with something (probably plural) that isn't on it. I shall try to dispose of some more items whilst he's out. I'll have to try to do as much of that as I can this week because our binmen are going on strike after the next collection. Nothing to do with my bin! They have been offered and insulting, miserly pay rise. I think they are going out for a week initially so I can just imagine the chaos that will result.
I heard the neighbours return from their holiday at 4.00am this morning so once the blonde bombshells wake up the peace will be shattered.
OK. I'm off now. Hunting for rubbish whilst he's not here.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.8 -
Thankfulness still being on holiday- although it is so warm!! Saw a dolphin 🐬 when out on a boat trip yesterday - that was brilliant - we sat and watched it for quite a while
Did Lost Gardens of Heligan - that's 'interesting' when suffering with hay-fever - I don't normally get hay-fever (a bit of an early sniffle when trees start) but apparently hyper sensitivity is an uncommon side effect of my latest drug... and don't I know it. One eye was swollen almost closed and the other not much better - and my nose was super runny (currently no nose hair to slow it down! 😁) - still, I'm glad I've been there
Last night here tonight. Used up lots of leftovers for dinner last night - yeay! Also used Tesc0 CC vouchers for Ed3n Project whilst here - making it so much cheaper! 🙌
Whilst it has been lovely being away I am also looking forward to getting home - I've developed a chest infection that I really need a prescription forPesky germs picked up from someone!

Today I am grateful for my GP sending through an antibiotic scrip to the chemist, for dh going and getting my scrips, for pip continuing to improve in leaps and bounds, for the relief of cold water on my skin, for utube being free.
