My bathroom is clean and not the horrible scary mess I came back to. Someone even managed to break the Fl4sh mop while I was away - I found it in the bin.

Hope you are feeling better today @apple_muncher.
Heres my update for yesterday and I’ll pop back later with and update from today.- Took DS to get feet measured & for school shoes & for uniform so sort of in & outside of the shops. His footy training started back up last night so stood outside watching for the hour.- Not an NSD as used club vouchers for uniform and need to pay £1.75. Also bought DS some new shin pads. Not budgeted for but uniform less than expected so that balanced out. NSD still 4/15.
Yesterday grateful for drying washing outside, footy training being back on & local T£sco selling something DH wanted, to save us traipsing to the big one a few miles away!Lightbulb moment - 17/08/2017 £17,033. Current CC debt £0.00 DFD 31/7/24 🥳. Member #8 of Fiver Friday Challenge £150/£2608 -
Hope you're feeling better today, Apple.
I'm tired this morning. I didn't sleep well due to a dog somewhere barking practically all night. It was still at it at 4.00am this morning. I don't know who it belongs to but they had obviously left its on its own.
It's a lovely day again and still quiet as all the children seem to be away on holiday somewhere or other. Yesterday was productive. Got lots done but still lots to do so I'll get on with it. I feel as if I'm not really doing anything out of the ordinary, It must make very boring reading so thanks for listening to me.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.8 -
The kids bedrooms are clean and all school uniform that did not make it through the laundry has been captured and they can try it on to see what size they are now, and what size can be donated to the local charity distributing uniform to people who can't afford it.@Toni'sfriend I think anyone who knows anyone with a caravan, or family anywhere nice, has gone off this week. Everywhere is quiet. My bonus win yesterday was finding a long planter I planted with 3 stems of a yellow chrysanthemum that had snapped off a big plant, and had got lost under an overhanging lavender plant, and they are all still alive 4 months later and covered in flowers. So yay! Free plants! and they are not pink!!! Only pink things seem to have flowered for ages. I do not even like pink.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Don't all the broom and mop handles get used as light sabres at your house f0xh0les. Just me then.
Tuesday is fairly exhausting - 2 hours mindfulness training in the morning and 2 hours of art therapy in the afternoon plus trying to check off a couple of shopping bits (in one case I could see they didn't have what I wanted without going into the shop) and 1 or 2 domestic bits - dragging the green bins to the collection point - hard work but have put a lot of effort into filling them and it's lovely when they come back empty, ready to start again.
I'm downstairs as my pill delivery is due and DS3 isn't awake but just lozing (that's a combination of lazing and lolling) on the couch, reading and trying not to doze off. Good luck with the COVID apple. I felt that I was moaning about hayfever yesterday (part of an exercise we were doing - jotting down activities in a typical day and then afterwards we went through deciding which were nourishing and which were diminishing us).
Even shortly after taking my pill (I sometimes take a second one on really bad days but always wait a few hours) my eyes were streaming so I could hardly see, my mouth was dry, my breathing ragged (explained at the beginning of the session that I was putting my CPAP mask back on as it has an extra pollen filter) and my sinuses and back of my throat sore from the scratching of pollen grains. I seem to spend so much of my day on 'maintenance' - trying to stop minor side effects becoming a major pain and balancing one symptom/ side effect against another (do I go with a bland diet to ease the 'furry tongue' or use the curry spices that help with arthritis pain).
It was a good session and there are things I can work on - turning some chores into fun or pleasurable activities (taking my time over applying creams and moisturisers using the time to 'check in' with various parts of my body and give them a bit of extra love and attention, work out ant cramps or pains), just doing as many 5 minute bits as possible (some days I seem to spend my life walking between the house and bins with rubbish and recycling) for 'maintenance' jobs (rubbish, washing up, clothes in and out of the WM, on the line and then back in again) and any serious cleaning/ cooking/ planning/ phone calls (nibbling the herd of elephants my life has become) and maybe adding more music into my life to help get through boring stuff that needs doing.
I still hope to improve (less pain. lose the extra pounds, be able to move more) but if my life is mostly going to be like this (stage) I need to work on strategies to get me through - simplifying, decluttering (including 2 x 32 yos who vary between toddler and teenage with occasional bits of grown up), building routines and having lots and lots of fun (apologies for the fumble fingers - keep trying to weed out the extra/ wrong letters I type but won't always manage).
Have written a list this morning (2 actually) and the list of things I have to do is nearly at 20 (mostly elephant sized 'to do' s) so will have to pick out some bits I can make a start on when my body is ready to start moving and the pills have arrived. Need to bring mum's bins back in so may go and find some plants (market stall/ bnq/ other SM) and add in a wee SM top up (look for a colourful plastic cloth to cover her garden table), sit and eat outside, bring the bins in and plant flowers. But for now lozing is what suits me best. With added shoulder shrugs and circles, writing the alphabet with my foot and stretching and curling my spine.
Grateful for trees, green bins, lovely art session, helpful mindfulness session, the turtle gang (hugs for everyone that needs them), simple food, free fruit (low attendance yesterday so I was gifted half a box of grapes, some strawberries and baby oranges).6 -
Today I am grateful for my bed, for cold water, for dc improving, for dh still testing negative, for not needing a nap (I did possibly have a couple of catnaps, but I'm not sure!), for peace and quiet, for my GP doing a phone call appointment and repeating my prescription now rather than waiting two more weeks.

Evening Turtles. Thanks for the vote of confidence grandmanerd and f0xh0les!
Rustled up a minced beef cobbler and sausage ragu when I came back from work, I like to be ahead of myself cooking wise as I have a couple of days a week when I work longer hours and it means I don’t have to panic and feed everyone from the freezer. I expect they are longing for processed food after being forced to eat proper food since our Canadian visitor arrived.
Apple, we all had cold symptoms when we had Covid back in June. We only tested as one of my customers phoned me to tell me he was positive, otherwise I would have thought it was just a cold.
Did a bit of gardening for one of my customers this morning. He had about 40 enormous poppies (think 4 foot) in his front garden which had all died and gone brown. Made a huge mess carrying them out to the communal bin and I am still picking poppy seeds out of my hair this evening!
Not an NSD as I had to go to Mr T for a gift bag, but I redeemed myself by remembering the food bank trolley said washing pods were needed. Unfortunately when I put them in they had changed the whiteboard of needs and this week it was nappies. Oh well, I am sure it will still be gratefully received.
Today I am grateful for a cooling breeze in the garden, being able to hang washing out overnight and it being dry by the next lunchtime and naughty kitten bringing his latest friend into the garden, a fox cub (ran away when it saw me)

Hey Turtles. Crazy mad busy times but I have accumulated 6 NSDs. Amazing! Well...
2nd grocery shop today, plus a little spend in the pub on Saturday watching my friend play excellent music.
Another friend was with me on Saturday. I budgeted £30 but spent over by £4 because I wanted to make sure my friend got home safe, so I booked a taxi for both of us. All the big spend of the month are ahead of me, but I need to reign it in. I also spent an unplanned amount on pizza last night because I was so busy.
Mozza - it's crazy, it seems empty and everything is so expensive. No cucumbers! Loads of tomatoes, but the cheapest are 90p now. OH reckons that's the high cost of Nitrogen.Keep reading books!

Toni'sfriend said:Got all the washing done dried and ironed and all the little jobs plus some. Think I'm getting the hang of this!
Another beautiful day today. Sunny and warm but not too hot yet. I think I'll clean the porch, sort the plans and tidy the communal area. That will get me out if the fresh air. I haven't been doing enough of that lately. Walking has almost come to a standstill at the moment.
Enough of this lazing about. Things to do. Have a good day.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸5
