pigpen said:Narco.. keep a beady eye on him for the rona.. Those were complaints Pixie had last week.. weirdly no one else caught it from her! Feeling sick, tired and a headache which we put down to the heat.
Did some floordrobe tidying and clothes culling today; went through fitness clothes drawer and undies - bin is now fuller and I've filled a bag for charity. Also went through jumper drawer. Reluctantly added the jumper my Grandpa gave me for my 16th - yes you read that right - I'm now 64!!!! I haven't worn it for years, although can still get into it, but really he'd think I was bonkers still hanging onto it for sentimental reasons.....let someone else enjoy it.
Wore myself out at the gym with body pump and body balance, came home and went to sleep for ages. Perhaps Mr N and I have revived our Covid exhaustion or maybe I really have Narcolepsy.......Maybe just so much exercise to try and become slinky.
Watered greenhouse. Picked tomatoes and beans. Pulled up some weeds.
Put away a load of gibble from the kitchen.
Had a long chat with a recently bereaved friend. Hard.
Still vaguely planning birthday cake to make for Mr N tomorrow; it isn't until Wed but tomorrow we are going out for a meal with his 2 best mates and likely to come back afterwards for cake......one friend is extremely fussy.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.10 -
Morning ladies xx
GWS wishes for all the poorlies xx
I'm tired of being tired. By the middle of the week I was beginning to consider blood tests, then colleagues started to complain of the same symptoms: tired, wuzzy head, occasional nausea, negative covid test......ooops something contagious then. Whistles nonchalantly and walks away.....
Anyway I'm up, made my bed, brought down the laundry hamper, taken my meds and I'm having a brew. I seem to have damaged my ankle in the night. In bed. Asleep. ???? Not the boney outside bit, the stretchy inside bit - got a little man in there with a stabby knife...at least that's how it feels.
However. I've had enough with feeling discombobulated. That seems to be life at the moment, so time to recombobulate within new parameters.
Do a bit, sit a bit, it is then. Got to be better than do nowt and sit a lot. I blame the athletics....and tennis.....and TdF....and now there's the Commonwealth Games. I'm very good at watching other people expend energy 🙄
So. Recombobulate step 1.
Brew 2 and breakfast- eat less carp, feel less carp / don't skip meals
Step 2
Feed the birds
Put out the rubbish and recycling
WUDUPA
Sort washing into loads
Set first load swishing
- that's easy enough to do and MAD to how things look and how I feel.
Recombobulate withe anyone?
Love to all
Rxx

Morning all,
Sorry to be boring and broken record-like, but yet another stressy week. Work, stress, WAC repeat. I think I’m a candidate for total recombobulation, Round! I’m not sure where to start though, and the weather isn’t helping - I need to hear the pitter patter of days of constant rain.
1st cuppa had, recombobulation considered.
Allotment to be considered, to look at the plants that are hanging on despite the wide cracks in the ground.
Admin pile looked at in disgust, although I did actually get to renewing DD’s car insurance in the week, and saved £70 for my efforts.
Kitchen floor is disgusting, able to write rude words in the dust in other rooms.
On the plus side, the ironing pile only consists of DH’s shirts, as he still hasn’t worked out that he is on the ironing blacklist.
Right, I must get dressed, then see where this recombobulation lark sends me 😄
Have a lovely day all xx9 -
Morning all
Round and Fayolle, whether you meant to or not you’ve really made me smile this morning thank you xx
I’ve done the morning feeds, now back in bed with a cuppa. DS watching something utterly drivel like on the tube of you, I really should put a stop to it but it means I get ten minutes peace… DD still asleep. She reaches double figures tomorrow where did my sweet calm baby go?!There is lots I could do today, we’ll see. DD needs to make her party bags (using paper bags, HM brownies and fidgets), and I suppose I should organise my mind for her party on Monday.
Anyone have an utterly idiot proof method for HM pizza dough? She wants pizzas but the cost of anything half decent for a large group is bonkers.Have lovely days all xx9 -
WAC club here too, so feeling slow and fragile this morning. I've got lots to do today but zero GUAG. Having a cuppa to see if that might boost me to get started! Either that or I'll have a nap...
Today I need to take a suitcase and box of Hallowe'en decorations back up into the attic room (yes, that's right, Hallowe'en decs...) and while I'm up there look out my jewellery making kit and see if I can find my necklace busts for the shop. Displaying jewellery on mannequins is good, but there's lots more to display, so the busts would be perfect.

Bows to asb xx Glad we made you smile. 😘
Fayolle - if fuel wasn't so expensive I'd suggest that you put your allotment on a lorry and bring it ooop norf. Rain is forecast all weekend....but whether it'll be wet rain or just nopointinpeggingoutthewashing drizzleness I dunno. Might as well carry on with my original plan and the washing will have to dry indoors. In July!
I missed out something vital between Recombobulate step 1 and step 2. The small matter of shower / get dressed - maintain personal hygiene / don't frighten the neighbours.
It's a work in progress. I've never recombobulated before ....🙄
I'll set WM swishing then nip upstairs and ablute. If that's a word. (Predictive text has fallen out with me 🤣)

I have remembered what I absolutely must do today. My new budget. Anyone else wondering what the winter will bring with constant rises in prices? I admit to being anxious.

ASB, if it is any use, I have just pm’d you an easy pizza recipe (well I think I have, let me know if it has got lost as it flipped on me when I pressed send). Not authentic, but my DD and her friends used to make it for themselves to keep them occupied! HTH.
Been to allotment. French beans all dead. Thanks to the wildlife (deer, rabbit, squirrel, pigeon, who knows 😡) which has eaten the base of the plants so that I have dead leaves climbing picturesquely up the poles. Picked dwarf beans, courgette, dug some potatoes. I need to clear out the fridge, which smells inexplicably of fish, then make space for the fresh veg.
I am thinking of taking this new lark slowly - I think I might have to start at bobulation, and work my way up to recombobulation 🤣9 -
Round, do you have air con at work or any thing similar, if you and your co workers are all feeling dizzy etc, ask when it was last serviced, if not recent ask for it to be done.Been doing nothing special today.WalkingCat feedingOdd rain drops, nothnig major.Kitchen doneHall hooveredOH watching F1 qually, I am ment to be as well...........................Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles
