"Several children sat in boxes. " Mumtoomany, this made me laugh
Glad the baby is improving x
asb, I hope you are taking things as easy as possible and beginning to feel better x
Has Littleydog met her milestone, Jazee?
This morning I ran my study group and then took DH to the horse piddle to see the physio. She was very pleased with his progress, and he is very happy that she has given him advice on when he can progress to the next stages - eg "Now use two crutches outdoors, and just one indoors for the next couple of weeks, then don't use your crutches indoors and see if you can manage with only one outdoors." And we can send back the high chair and the toilet frames after the 6-week surgical review, if all is well. That means we will get more space back in our LR, hurray!
DH treated me to lunch at a garden centre, so the sausage casserole that was bubbling in the SC all day has been put in the fridge for tomorrow's meal, and we had an easy salad tea. We also ate a couple of handfuls of big juicy blackberries that I had picked in the lane when I took Rosie out for her walk - yummy! I have told DH that his mission for tomorrow is to take a plastic box and go for a walk down the lane, filling the box with blackberries.
I did a little flying too: hoovered downstairs and did WMx1.
Tomorrow I must do the church admin work that I had intended to do today...10 -
Hi all
Lots going on, hope you are not too poorly ASB and I just love the changes you have made to your life, you are an inspiration. Likewise Round, hope you are OK, and much love to others with lurgies (or family members with lurgies).
Full on couple of days at the paid stuff, I have also been to the hairdressers and have been persuaded to try a new hairdo - it does suit me but now I have to find out whether I can manage it myself.
Tired this week, dont think I have been sleeping very well. I havent cycled in to work because the weather has been rubbish but I was going to cycle in tomorrow. I am trying to save diesel costs.
Bits of flying done, house isnt too bad, DS1 is safely back from his holidays.
Soon time to think about bed, its very dark here tonight.10 -

Managed to load DW again last night, after little ones were in bed. Four times in one day! Also loaded again before lunch. Nipped out for more nappies, animal feed and strawberries. Picked most of the peas. Five children sat in the middle of the kitchen floor and podded them. I now have a huge bowl of peas, and fridge magnets thanks to the one year old. Most of them are without teethmarks!
I've also had time to carry yesterday's washing upstairs and dump it on the bed. Go me! Hugs to all, mumtoomany.xxFrugal Living Challenge 2025.8 -

Afternoon ladies
morning and lunchtime animal checks done, one of the pigs has come into season for the first time bless her and is very out of sorts. DD made a list of all the animals we have (& of course all the names😂) yesterday, 61 including the dog.
Pancakes made for breakfast, kids have just had poached eggs and beans on toast for lunch (we clearly have a glut of eggs) and 1x WM on line. Food delivery booked for tomorrow, I’m sure cucumbers used to be about 45p, 59p now.
Children want to make brownies now so that’s the next plan on the list. I asked if they wanted to go swimming but they said no, I think they’re quite happy to just potter round in and outTake care all xx9 -

No we are off to the coast in a Haven van for a week.. We can't stay at the in-laws any more because there is nowhere for us to sleep. We booked a night in a travelodge a few months ago as a one off but it is really expensive.
washing in, it was spitting a little bit. wet lot hung out and tiny bits in the TD.
Cuppa and then I have to start getting sorted to go pick Pixie up.

Hello all. Bad news on the windscreen Piggers.
Littleydog is progressing well and hit her milestone.
Flying wise, just the basics today as I seem to have got a stomach bug. 2lbs lost though, so every cloud and all that....Spend less now, work less later.9 -
Well done, Littleydog.
Wow, ASB, 61?!Love the picture, Kaz. Am very envious.
Bedding finally made it to the front of the wm queue this morning. Dried outside during the day. I managed HHI this evening but have now given up. Dinner was in the sc all day which was a bonus.Breakdown truck “lost” DH’s car for a couple of days. It has now turned up where it should have been last Friday. Honestly, you couldn’t make it up.
I have a lot of Stuff in my head. I need to write a list or 5.9
