Yep. 61, spanned across 5 different types of animal. Love them all so much they make my life complete.Laundry over the airer, kids asleep and I’m on my way to bed. Not left the homestead for three days and really can’t see any reason to until at least next week. Kids helping neighbours to bale hay tomorrow and I’ll be chopping wood.
hugs to all especially littleydog xxx11 -
G'morning to all - that includes every one of asb's menagerie
Well done Littleydog x
Sorry to hear about car troubles, pigpen - hope you get away on time x
Pleased to see that you're making good use of your increased workforce, mumtoomany. As a child, I used to love shelling peas - and quite a few would find their way into my mouth
Great photo, kazwookie - it looks beautiful: gorgeous sky, waves, almost empty beach. I should love to be there right now.
Another day, another crack at this admin job which is driving me crazy. Why on earth do Head Office need information that I've already sent them, but in a totally different format, using totally different headings????? It is crazy and a complete waste of my time.
So far this morning I have
- made a list
- done finance check
- tried to make a payment to my CC, but the system won't accept it - try again later [ETA done]
- sent birthday gift to my eldest goddaughter (39 tomorrow!)
- FUPA clean bedding
DH has to go to the chiropodist at 11.00 which means that I shall be out of the house for an hour and can't take my work with me.
My friend J (one of the Old Wives) is coming for a meal tonight, so I need to think of a quick and easy dessert - but not strawberries, as she's bringing a strawberry and feta salad for starter. Maybe blackberries, which are plentiful along the lane and free for the picking - but I should have to pick them myself, as I sent DH out for a walk yesterday with instructions to fill a yogurt pot and he came back after 45 minutes with about 10 berries [rolls eyes]
Hope everyone has a good day today xxx10 -

Hello all...how is it already Thursday?
Tiny is 8 today, which I can't believe! And Small starts Secondary school in September. Where have my babies gone?
I'd love to report lots of flying, but I have to pace myself at the moment as I'm constantly exhausted. I'm having special blood test investigations as apparently my body is not making enough cortisol. I've tried not to read everything on Google on the matter, so I'm now convinced I only have a few months left lol. Yes, I know I'm an idiot...
I have cleaned the top part of the fridge interior and binned many OOD and old jars that have been festering in there. The shelves look much cleaner and tidy now. The bottom shelf and vegetable drawers are on my list for today, but I've just sat down with a cuppa as I've started feeling carp.
I've got blackberries and early dark purple plums needing picking, but I need a nap first...
Big hugs to everyone xxx9 -
Happy Birthday to Tiny! Dizzy, I'm not sure whether I welcomed you back as my life was even crazier than usual at that point, but it's great to see you. Sorry to hear about the need for more tests, hope they find the right treatment very soon. It's horrid when you constantly feel tired. I only have to sit down and I've lost an hour.
Quick update from me:
- DH taken to chiropodist
- meanwhile I visited MrAl
- the bits of shopping have been put away and flowers for the table artfully arranged plonked in a nice matching vase
- WMx2 hung out, hoping the rain keeps off for a few hours
- 2x coffee made and being slurped.
My list is gradually getting shorter
Back to admin...
And then after lunch I must mop the kitchen floor, hoover the LR, do another WMx1 of all the dirty cloths and pads, and prep tonight's meal. I've decided that we're having grilled peaches and blackberries with clotted cream ice cream for dessert [nom-nom] so no need to heat the whole oven.9 -

Oh Dizzy hope they find out what's wrong soon, it's horrible not knowing.
Not much flying done, I will catch up a bit tomorrow. Have fed DS1 with a bought quiche, new potatoes and green beans out of the garden. DH has had a pie out of the freezer.
Tired today, didnt cycle into the office but I needed shopping and I wanted to go to the library anyway.
There are changes happening at work which means I will get more responsibility, another member of staff, and possibly more money. I have mixed feelings about all of this but I actually dont have any choice, in theory it could make life easier but who knows? I need the money to clear the debts so just have to get on with it.
Feet up now, will get an early night I think.10
