Whatever has been written I think you miss the point Username03725.I think many of us really are quite happy that you believe your changes are all down to a change of cable and are happy with the results. Good to hear of something in this world making somebody happy. The problem is you are suggesting that simple cable switches switches such as you have made actually caused improvements and could do so for everyone (whether stated or implied). You believe the changes have made improvements but you cannot prove that they have and ignore known scientific proof that perceptions do reflect expectations when people make uncontrolled judgements. If we are told something is better then some will believe it will be better and then percieve it to be better. That is one way advertising works. The only way to prove the change for better or worse is testing under controlled conditions, removing other variables and doing proper testing in a scientific manner. Until then it is just perceptions and belief. We sometimes then are happy to take that as fact or rely on our opinion. What is not acceptable is to state or imply that A definately caused B with an associated great improvement when it flies in the face of science and engineering without associated proof, i.e. it is just a claim. Such is often the case with advertising. Most posters in this thread point out that what you claim as a result of things like a mains cable change will not result in the improvement you seem to perceive. Those posters base their posts on known scientific and engineering facts and if something is claimed to contradict those established facts require proof. That proof often cannot be given and you cannot give it. Similarly they do not believe that any differences you see are a causal link stemming from a different type of connection, especially that you have lots of other variables not taken into account some of which have been expressed in posts. As you have more or less also written, accept that you disagree and move on. If not we must all wonder why you persist in not following your own advice.1

If these external things like a fuse or power cable made a difference I think the TV testers and calibration engineers that do this sort of thing for a living day in day out would be all over them as it makes there hard work redundant if you change the external power chain and it changes the picture from the calibrations that can take some time to get right.[Deleted User] said:And the thing is, Ecosse, QSA et al would find it extraordinarily easy to provide this evidence if it existed.Yep, tools exist to do this scientifically, if the claimed changes in colour and brightness were easily perceived by the human eye, then tools like this would be a small investment to prove the claims scientifically and beyond refute.

Seems that the power cable manufacturers don't feel that a £1 each per 5,000 units sold investment is worth it for providing absolute proof.0
