So fed up now as we enter week 7. The broker has come back and said they’ve got everything they need for their initial assessment… they’ve come back twice so how can this be an initial assessment. Think we’re going to lose the house with how slow they’re being.

I thought the under writing took place in the 18 working days and then it was 7/8 days once we’d sent extra info. Very fed up.
Can you escalate it saying you think you may lose the house?

I would definitely ask your broker to escalate it and just keep pressuring them! Like they did with us
  • I’m going to sit tight until next Thursday and if we don’t have it I’m going to kick off massively, I’m constantly chasing my brokers and they keep saying everyone’s waiting because of so many applications.

We’ve heard back from our broker. Kent are happy with everything just requested a letter saying my default was settled as Experian showing unsettled. I’ve sent the letter off and my full Experian  report showing as settled. Hoping we may have an offer within another 2 weeks! But won’t believe it till I see it!

@md64 that's amazing. I've had valuation yesterday now waiting to hear back. Not sure what is the timeframe for valuation report
  • @md64 that sounds good! Same as us really I suppose them asking for the gifted deposit letter.

We have a gifted deposit but they haven’t asked for the letter, I can’t remember if I sent the broker our letter stating the deposit was a gift or not. Do Kent have there own form that needs filling in?

We were never asked for the gifted letter form? And we have a chunk of gifted money! Seems very hit and miss
