  • It’s so painful @Atena it’ll be just under 8 weeks from submission when we hear from them next week. If they come back with any thing else I don’t know what we’ll do.

I’m convinced we will get declined or just loose the house because it’s taking so long

Im waiting for the next request for docs....I bet it comes!! This is day 3 of the 7 working days for the first lot of additional docs and to be fair they were 1 day early with their response from the initial 18 working days I was first quoted.

I keep thinking they are going to decline, but we can bloody afford it so I don't know why they would. We've rented for 17 years really don't wanna be renting for much longer. X

I still haven’t heard. Mine won’t be escalated, all I think they need to do is send the offer, but I’m still worried something might happen at the last minute
  • Our house may not even happen now. After all that!
got told our house isn’t ready until December now and buyers mortgage offers expire November and ours feb.
So even if we move out, there may be a longer delay and we may not get an extension on our offer and be left homeless!

Oh no, I’m so sorry to hear this.

can you stay with family or rent, if yours expires in Feb would that be ok for the house finishing in December?

Yes but the risk would be if it delays even more and could possible go over. Meaning offer will expire, we would have sold our house and we would be without anything

Oh my goodness, how stressful. I have read on other forums that Kent do extend their offers so I hope you can get this sorted
  • So fed up now as we enter week 7. The broker has come back and said they’ve got everything they need for their initial assessment… they’ve come back twice so how can this be an initial assessment. Think we’re going to lose the house with how slow they’re being.

I thought the under writing took place in the 18 working days and then it was 7/8 days once we’d sent extra info. Very fed up.

Me too, I’m so fed up. My application started with them in May. Once our application was looked at, they came back to us 3 times which has added a further 21 working days, the last bit of info was just on what we were using the funds to pay back so that can be stipulated in the offer but still no offer.
