Great news, Thrifty
Hope you're feeling better, Ditty
We went to visit the Boy yesterday and walked there and back. Two and three quarter miles. Better than nothing. Of course, my planned NSD disappeared when Himself decided we should pick up some water from Aldi when we passing and we weren't carrying anything. Then he sneaked a couple of bars of chocolate into the trolly when I wasn't looking. I really think I'm going to have to give up on the NSDs this month and concentrate on staying within budget instead.
Well, off for a shower and then on to the hairdresser.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.9 -
Hello everyone!First time using the site, could you add me too please to the Turtle challenge? Apologies if this is not the way to be added!8

A quick update:This month started badly and I was unwell for about 5 days, this meant I couldn't do my normal food shop so obviously have already spent more on groceries/food so the kids could eat when I was unable to cook.Feeling a bit better now though, I think it was my new medication so I have stopped a couple days and restarted a lower dose. All debt payments are in the right pot and ready to go out, a small extra one made.Bills are on track.I got a little extra money in I wasn't expecting so that's covered the spends while I was sick and means I'm not trying to recover financially from that at least.I'm off to restock later and then should finally be able to start building my NSDs.Off to catch up on the thread. Good luck all.8

Couldn't check in last night because the laptop stuck (particularly annoying because I had a track playing and it was on one of the end notes) and took 3 of us to turn it off. Wouldn't risk turning it back on again (was mid shut-down when it got stuck).
Had a lovely day yesterday and didn't spend any money so NSD 2 (I think). Mindfulness in the morning and I changed sides of the bed (so I'm next to the set of drawers and have more usable space). Bit of a scramble to be ready in time (9.30 am) as I kept thinking of things I needed and scooching across to get them. Very good mindfulness session, some of the difficulties I'd had with the long exercise (40 minutes) had caused problems for others and I'd resolved my issues rather more successfully (I need to do it early rather than late on, I need to wear my CPAP mask in case I fall asleep and I've adjusted my position as the run of dry days exacerbated my hayfever and I started coughing and choking if I tried to lie flat (gave up after 3 attempts). I also participated more (they didn't require me to join in with my experiences last week because I'd joined at short notice and was going to a funeral afterwards)
Continuing with the long exercise this week (apparently it's one of the most difficult but ultimately most helpful exercise) and a new short breathing exercise (very useful if you start to panic or get overwhelmed by your to do list). We also have to jot down any pleasurable experiences, fleeting moments as well as big ones. My robin is continuing to check up on me when I'm out in the garden (it's in transition, it's still a yard but hope it will be garden by the end of the week - complete with turning circle for mobility scooter).
In the afternoon (1pm - 3 pm) I went to the open arts workshop - we painted trees using calligraphy inks and print blocks to write out inspirational sayings and then add the wording in and around our trees. I wanted 'mermaid' trees so mine had navy blue trunks and turquoise and emerald green powders to make the foliage. Great fun, very relaxing, did some chatting. Fairly low attendance (we think it will build) so not scary at all, very gentle and supportive. Best of all, the mural I thought was going to be about the Women's football is for Pete Shelley (Buzzcocks) which makes me really happy.
The exhibition on the square and the one in the library and all the banners on the town hall and car park railings (and the flower display bases) and the fan events (craft activities and football card swapping) which will close the library 3 times this month are all about the Women's football so it's difficult to escape it really. On the 8th there's a one day only exhibition on the library square (Civic square really) which I'm hoping is the Manchester Bee (it's a huge sculpture made from guns and other weapons taken from the streets of Manchester) but it might not be. There's also dancing and other stuff (think I've already seen the dancing being practised). and military band 'music'.
Congratulations on the transplant, the PIP award and the Probate (you all make me look like a sluggard but then f0xh0les can clean her entire house whilst I'm thankful I managed to do a small square of the bathroom floor).
Started to tidy last night but the bottom fell out of the bin bag this morning. Went outside to pick up the plastic bottles and put them back in the brown bin (threw them out when I was rounding up cans to take to the recycling point). I had a chair in one hand and a laundry basket (with plastic bottles in) and managed to knock over some small plant pots I'd done the day before. However ultimately I'm still moving forward. For this week's every day mindfulness I'm going to focus on washing the pots - a) it needs doing, b) it's often less trouble than doing the dishwasher especially if no-one else does their bit, c) I need the space.
Grateful for art activities and exhibitions, my little robin friend, simple food, making progress, bits of clear space appearing.
Welcome wonderfulwinnie.8 -

@grandmanerd I still have two rooms full of junk, and DH has a 'nest' in the corner of the living room, but as long as I can hoover the floor and sit on the sofa, he can be weird. He really needs his own room, but he turns a funny colour when I mention it.Sold a couple of glide/slide sheets from s/g's cupboards of tat which came to stay (aka my inheritance) today, first £8 in the kitty, and I have listed her "moss rose", china cups and saucers and piece plates on the b00k of Face's marketplace - laughed my socks off at pne thing that I had always thought of as a cake plate, because it turns out it is the saucer/tray/stand/bottom (?) thing for a gravy boat! Who even knew! anyway, I took photos, listed online, wrapped them up in newspaper, and put in labelled boxes. I can see the living room carpet again. Must be a win in anyone's book... hopefully the 4 brand new unopened packs of sheets, and dodgy ornaments find someone to go and be happy with. There is one china robin that looks so peculiar I think Mummy Robin must have been having an affair. There is a whole half of a day of school left tommorrow, I have told the kids they can be free range from 12.15 as I am volunteering until 2, and either they get a lift home with me, or they come home by 5pm. I am not going to stress about it.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
