My eyes didn't want to open this morning! Made myself get up anyway. Once hubby had left for his dialysis, I changed the bedding & washed the dishes, then set off to get my blood taken. Had planned to walk, but needed to then go to another area to pick up an urgent sewing job (for a wedding at the weekend). Felt quite light headed on my return, so lay on the bed for an hour. Our male cat lay alongside me & rested his chin on my arm. He's not often a cuddly cat, so it was nice! Put some things in a charity bag & collected all the paper for recycling. Made a large salad for my dinner & read my book, then did the sewing job. Completed another one after tea, then did the ironing. Sold another coin & had a message from a new customer, asking for my assistance. I used to work at her daughter's school, she had recommended me to her mum!
Grateful for cat cuddles, a bit of decluttering, shrimps & bananas (which I shouldn't have eaten the whole pack of!)Use it up, wear it out

Morning all!
I'm on NSD 3 now but today I will probably spend a bit...
Been woken by an alert from work saying we still have outages, so no point getting up. This will give me time today to 1) get my book review done 2) prepare a car picnic ready for tonight when we go to our gig, save spending on fast food while we're out.
I'm thinking quiche/tart, maybe some spicy pakora, muffins....Keep reading books!

So, I did walk to the big TESCO yesterday but I didn't get the plants as they had been very well cared for and were all shrivelled and withered. My gardening skills wouldn't have been good enough to revive them, I'm afraid. What a waste!. Still waiting for my first NSD as Himself needed milk. I hate the stuff but he drinks it by the gallon. The good news is that we went by a very convoluted route and managed another three and three quarter mile walk.
Nothing very exciting or noteworthy to report. Basically, I'm just plodding along here.
Going to see the Boy shortly. Have a good day.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.8 -
2 NSDs in the bag. Yesterday morning I walked into Herr L's emporium of foods to see a chap loading the reduced tray with 20p raspberries. 5 boxes came home with me (wish I had taken more, they are gorgeous) , and banana and raspberry oat milk shakes have replaced 2 meals so far, and they taste better than those pesky diet powders. The bananas were free as well, they were a bit brown on the outside, and were headed for someone's bin (!), so they came home with me, and were stripped and frozen in a ziplock bag.Listed 18 items over the weekend on various selling sites, had a few queries but nobody has bitten yet....... Pr0lific Academ1c has paid out again, and I still have £10 pending - you can cashout at £5 and it is paid to palpay immediately, and transferred from the Pal to your bank account instantly too, with the click of a button.BUT.....the main news is that I have the grant of probate. Just in time for the solicitors to close this Friday for a whole week
It is a scam I tell you! A scam! Cheque for the headstone engraving has been cashed. House sale progressing. So all in all things are moving in a forwardly direction. School finishes on Thursday at 12.15, and there are 2 jobs fairs this week - I am free now that I am not going to be racing off to step-gran a couple of times a year. I think I am going to get a job this summer and the kids can get bus passes
That'll learn 'em.

Just wrote a long post & it’s disappeared but here’s the jist of it!!
Went to dental hygienist and budgeted £35 but it has now increased to £40. I’ve covered it from my hair/dentist pot but need to increase my monthly allocation to this. Used car so fuel used but it was a necessary journey.Wasted a few food items today - stale bread and out of date eggs. There’s 3 bananas that will be wasted was about to chop them up on a waffle but then that would ruin my healthy day!!
Alcohol free today so that’s 3/31. Better day at work and completed all my tasks I wanted to today. The sun shining has made me smile today & DS completing his homework as it was lingering on a bit.Budget ok but need a buffer for increase of costs I’m not aware of aswell as increasing allocated funds from next month
Had Yorkshire puddings instead of potato wedges to go with our tea tonight as only takes 5 minutes in the oven instead of 20
NSD 2/16 not one today due to dentist.
Decluttered handbag and counting it as an item so that’s 5/31.

DS had a brilliant time.Spends22 park entry14 food at park7 extras at parkTotal park spend £43Grateful today to see DS finally learn to cycle forward, for DS having so much fun he refused to get off a go kart to leave, and for DS eventually agreeing to leave the park. 🤣

Today I am grateful for getting out to the gym, for a good drying day, for a reply from a long-lost cousin, for dc being okay, for remembering to buy aldee chocs to make up variety packs for end of term for colleagues, for dh always preparing the morning coffee so all I have to do is switch the gas on and wait a few minutes for the nectar of the gods to be ready 😂.

@wishus who are you going to see? Hope it was great fun!
Great news @f0xh0les. Sounds like a few of us have had a good day. My number 1 of the day is that DH received a phonecall this afternoon & is now on the transplant list 🥰 so one step closer to having a new kidney! Haven't had results back from my blood tests yesterday yet, so will see what they say before I fill in firms to see if I can donate one if mine.
Had a lovely sleep, including a lie in, I was so tired yesterday, but feel more refreshed now. Walked just over 6 miles after breakfast & posted my eboy sale. Read my book whilst eating dinner, then painted a shed. Had put suntan lotion on, but still s bit pink around my neck from windburn! Even though it's national.bikini day, it wasn't warm enough for that in Orkney! 😂 Plus I don't want to subject my neighbours to making their eyes bleed!!!
Read more of my book on my bed with a healthy snack, then did 3 small hand stitching repair jobs for customers. Had a long bath with a bath bomb & more reading. Only 50 odd pages left now.
Grateful for DH being on the list, time to read & my she'd looking goodUse it up, wear it out
