Morning turtles
Got lots of expense before payday (20/7) but should be ok if am careful with the things i can control - this is mainly the food budget. Have got a birthday gift to buy but have budgeted for that. Paid for new glasses for DD2 yesterday, were slightly under budget. Taking DD2 back to uni today so will need petrol. Will also buy her some food. Can only slightly control amount of petrol i buy as i have to go into work and will need to visit DD1 who is struggling with MH. I do walk wherever i can. Colleague finished at work on ill health, didn't want a collection for a leaving gift but i did buy her a card and book so i need to post those.
Cleaned out the fridge yesterday so i now know exactly what food i have so can do a meal plan. Have been drying washing on the line.
Not managed any NSDs yet but should be better next week.
Gratitudes - DD1 taking meds and finding a good therapist (flippin expensive though:( time with DD2 when i take her back to uni; going for a drink with friends on Friday, bit of respite from RL

I've not been well, so made the most of the weekend planning a lovely night in with OH catching up with The Boys and Stranger Things, cuddle blankets and luxurious dinner of prawn and chilli spaghetti, lush with lemon and parsley, and a nice side salad.
Plus got on with some reading of a free book for review.
Right now on a work colleague road trip up north, one of my employment related jollies. Will be taking advantage of the pool and spa later this afternoon.
Life is good 😊Keep reading books!

Today I am grateful for drying laundry on the line, for dc coping on their own for several hours, for a nice chat with a friend, for bright red flowers.

Had a lovely walk along yesterday canal path and saw lots of ducks and some moorhens - didn't see the Swan family though
Was a bit glum weather wise this morning but it brightened up this afternoon and 2 loads of washing have dried on the line 🙌 Leftivers for most of us for dinner (well - cook once, eat twice meal), as DH is away with work tonight - so easy food with less clearing up.
Off to do some ironing now to last night's Ca5ua1ty (friends came around unexpectedly and left at gone midnight - I was shattered - although it was lovely to see them)
Scored some YS items in A5da today - and a pair of next-size joggers for DS3 - ooh, and some birthday cards for August and OctoberI am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £207 -
Day 2 at the caravanWent for a walk around the caravan site early this morning and listened to a couple of podcasts. Doe a deer a female deer stared at me from the long grass and then she ran off when I got too close.OH, DS and I went for a walk along a nearby beach - lots of rock pools to explore and beautiful seashells of all different shapes and colours. DS and I collected a load of them to take home.Back to the caravan for a late lunch,OH and DS watched F1 while I took a bag of clothes to the laundry cabin where I listened to more podcasts.A low spend day today:£4 parking£7 laundryGrateful today for time at the beach, sea air, pretty shells, time to read another couple of chapters, and podcasts.

Another wet day. Summer holidays start & the weather goes downhill 😓 since yesterday's post, I've sold another set of stamps & 4 coins! 😯 Haven't got too many of my free stamps left, so decided not to list my £2 coins yet, don't want to have to buy some!
Spent the morning shortening the legs of a jumpsuit & 3 pairs of jeans. It brightened up a little outside, so dug over 3/4 of a raised bed. There were heavy showers, but I persevered. DH planning to grow asparagus in it. Went inside when my back ached too much to continue, read a chapter of my book, then prepped the letters I'm to post this week for the RM survey. Had a long bath with my book & a facemask out my toiletries stash. Got doctors appointment tomorrow to get blood taken & a few other checks, to test for a few things.
Grateful for good books, more sales, pamperingUse it up, wear it out

Walked through all the little nooks and crannies of the local park yesterday. It all added up to three miles there and back. Popped into Aldi and stocked up on some bottles of water for me. I know it spoiled an NSD but it is heavy for Himself to carry so it's better just to buy some when we're passing. It costs less than a pound so it doesn't exactly break the bank and I am drinking lots. Put a couple of small items in the food donation box. It's looking pitifully empty these days.
The Boy came for dinner as usual on a Sunday. Made a chicken casserole with what we had in including some more of the cheap tomatoes. I'm trying to make a meal plan using what we have but it proving challenging to make low calorie dinners. I can but try. At least Himself is trying to use up his unlabelled, mystery dishes for lunch whilst I have a salad. It's quite an adventure I can tell you.
So today's plan (after I finish my coffee) is to walk to the big TESCO to get come plants to replace the pansies which are really way past their best now with some fushcia which are on special offer.
So, better get on. Have a lovely dayHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.8
