Evening turtles, here’s my update for today.
Had an unintended spend today as needed milk (ds has rediscovered his love of milkshake so keep running out). Local supermarket had no 4 pinters so had buy 2 x 2 pints which works out more expensive. It comes out of the grocery pot so doesn’t mess things up!No food wasted today and walked to parents & to shop so no unnecessary fuel used.
Alcohol free day so now 4/31.
Finding tickets to take ds to watch his team as a reward for doing well in school, in budget, makes me smile today just need to check with DH we can go on that day so not bought yet.
No longer need child car seats for ds so can sell them both on Fb. The money will go in ds party fund in December
Money spent today was on milk.(grocery pot) & ds footy training (activity pot) both necessary although milk should have been cheaper
NSD 2/16
Car seats decluttered (if don’t sell I will donate). 6/31 itemsLightbulb moment - 17/08/2017 £17,033. Current CC debt £0.00 DFD 31/7/24 🥳. Member #8 of Fiver Friday Challenge £175/£2606 -

Good Evening ⭐
Have been a little bit AWOL as had a bit of a clubbing weekend that ran Friday through to Sunday night! Some was budgeted for and the rest had to come from my holiday budget. Had a lovely time and can't recall the last time I did anything like that. This was all in my bid to become more sociable and try and make new friends. I maybe haven't quite got the balance right yet lol. Weekend off from parent duty so I went a bit bonkers!
Enjoying my dance classes so much and enrolled in a few more. Still not sure which ones I want to stick with yet so I'm trying them all haha.
Today I am grateful for:
1) The nice people in my dance class this evening and for managing a few moves!
2) For discovering the enjoyment of eating big salads on an evening
3) The amazing train service near me
Will be aching like hell tomorrow I am sure but over all a good day in work and a fab evening.
Have a lovely evening everyone x

Another very wet day 😓 spent the morning with a friend, did some craft together for an hour after lending her my listening ear. DS2 had his online appointment with the hospital in Aberdeen, he's decided he doesn't want to go down the surgery route & to leave things as they are for now. I was feeling stressed with it all, as we'd have to start from scratch with an endoscopy, etc again, but I can't force him! Also while we were waiting 25 mins to be connected, I received messages from 2 new customers, 1 wanting his suit trousers expanding & the other a bridesmaid dress altered so that she's able to breastfeed when wearing it. Not simple jobs 🤯
My head was pounding, so wrapped up & made myself go for a walk in the drizzle. Phoned mum on my return, then slept for 10mins. Felt better then, after tea I prepped 3 items ready for sewing tomorrow.
Remind me not to stay up til midnight another night to finish a book!!
Grateful for a temporary colleague getting a job (albeit at a different school), DS2 feeling a bit better, & that I could support my friendUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Not sure how I managed it but yesterday and today were both NSDs for me. This is even though I went to a gig yesterday, and I had an amazing time! Got bought some cans of pop - I was supposed to spend a bit but I didn't. Next time, eh?
The gig was in the grounds of an amazing National Trust property - absolutely gorgeous to look at, and we got our exercise walking the 20 minutes through the lush, landscaped grounds to get to the gig on the lawn.
We ate a picnic on the way in the car. I made carrot and cheese muffins, broccoli and onion quiche and pork and piccalilli sandwiches. Plus, I took our water bottles with us.
I think that's 5 x NSDs now.
Today was supposed to be an office day, but I got to WFH today and I will tomorrow as well. I suppose that keeps me out of the way of temptation! Plus, £18.30 per day saved on the trains!Keep reading books!
