You need to email a complaint to dpo@armtracservices.co.uk with that photo of the machine.Hi All
Id like to add myself to the list of those stung by the 'only put three digits of VRN on ticket' scam.
Contacted armtrak to appeal with copy of the parking ticket and they replied its my error for not putting whole VRN down.
They're not getting a penny out of me.
Many thanks to those who put the photos up of the ticket machine and sign.
I contacted cornwall tourist board who couldn't do anything but suggested cornwall trading standards which i will try, also emailled MP for cornwall west, Derek Thomas but as yet no response.
Then complain to both the DVLA and IPC.
Have you seen the newspaper articles posted today on the other thread and the stuff about Mick Cooke?

Both the Leicester Mercury and WalesOnline (and maybe others) have this quote from "a spokesperson"...

So it was an honest mistake was it?
Is everyone supposed to forgive you for that 'honest mistake' - just like you forgive all those motorists who also make an honest mistake?
This is truly scandalous.

Dead right. The duplicity is amazing. As you say, an 'honest mistake' from a motorist leads to hounding, debt letters and even court and added on "costs/admin". Yet no word of people who were issued tickets due to this "honest mistake" getting their money back.KeithP said:Both the Leicester Mercury and WalesOnline (and maybe others) have this quote from "a spokesperson"...

If you have paid the PCN, then, you can start with:-

(You can also claim damages in addition to the amount of the PCN paid).4 -

Yes, but what is worse - read the statement carefully - they are not changing the signs, they are removing the instruction from the machine. This will only extend the scam because the machine need changing or the signs need changing. The machine only takes 3 characters, removing the instruction from the machine will not change how it works.

Has this been confirmed, ideally with a video capture?Mouse007 said:KeithP said:Both the Leicester Mercury and WalesOnline (and maybe others) have this quote from "a spokesperson"...

Fair point, I've perhaps jumped to a conclusion but how come it is happening at other sites too?
