SOME IDEAS ON DETERMINING WHO OWNS THE LAND 

1. Google searches

2. If a retail park, check on any signage which lists the on-site outlets

3. Ask retailers on the site if there is a managing agent

4. Ask retailers on the site to whom do they pay rent

5. Contact the local authority and ask who pays the non-domestic/business rate for the car park (some councils have a spreadsheet on their website)

6. Contact the local Valuation Office and ask if they know. They often have a website which might provide the information 

7. Contact The Land Registry and for around £3 they should be able to provide definitive detail

I think we have @zhonguonuren in Cornwall. Anyone else heading there on holiday this month who might be able to grab video proof of what happens when you try to key in seven digits?

I have family and friends going there, so I will ask them.

So I emailed them and this is their response but I am lost with the linguo....whats the risk to actually cost more than its worth?

They said even if I win I need to claim back the cost, but how long before I get it, months, years?

I've complained to DVLA, and also Cornwall Trading Standards as well as my MP. Armtrac put in their email... 'The matter will not be taken any further and will be deemed closed' ... they wish!

I know his name but kind of worry to say it. It might not be his fault? and it might be illegal to divulge on here data protection and all....

There is no data protection issue about information that is already in the public domain.

Could really do with a video proving you just cannot get one of the machines (if there is more than one at Rockpool) to take more than 3 digits.

Also even better as an addition if they pop in to eat, would be a video of a staff member saying the same as they did to my friend, i.e. that they 'KNOW the machine keypad has been a problem for weeks and have reported it to Armtrac, but nothing was done'.

Their case is not yet cancelled and I am going to rip into some escalated complaints next.

Just need more solid evidence.

I don't know if this will help anybody but I can add to the strange goings-on at Sennen Cove top car park. I received a ticket as the keeper of a car parked on the 3rd June. A ticket was bought from the machine on the right as you drive in but the full registration was entered. I still received a NTK through the post. From what I could gather from the 'evidence', I was accused of not having bought a ticket at all rather than the infamous 'fluttering' ticket scam. Having read up on here about Armtrac, I wasn't expecting an appeal to be upheld but I sent in a copy of the ticket used and was successful. The cheeky gits used the following parting shot on the appeal letter - 'Please in future ensure you park correctly in order to ensure you do not receive any further parking Charge Notices'!!

Best of luck with your fight. I wonder how many motorists were caught out by what was clearly a machine fault...
