In my uninformed opinion, Tesla simply aren't offering cars that the mass market wants. Performance saloons are a niche and Tesla have saturated their part of it. They don't have a Corsa or a Puma in their lineup, for example, so they're not going to break into that segment.
Bring run by a politically polarising individual can't help, either. No-one knows or cares what eg. Oliver Blume or Jim Farley think about the world beyond motor cars.

Teslas are just dull, IMO (with the exception of the Cybertruck which is both ugly and too dangerous to be allowed on the roads of civilised countries). Same old shape, no significant change since launch, interiors more like an arcade game than a limousine.

Can't knock the charging infrastructure & system, though.

I find driving long distances in the Tesla less tiring than in previous cars. I would put most of that down to the automated cruise control.
I’m not that bothered that it looks ‘dull’

It is a tricky one as 99.9999% of Tesla employees are not Musk.
    I think....

I’m curious as to whether you research owners of other car companies, or whether you dislike what you’ve heard of Elon and that’s enough to put you off the brand?

In theory full size pickups are a large (2m+ vehicles per year) market in the US, unfortunately the CT has so mucked up the execution that it is not a serious contender with its current spec.
    I think....

Tesla's share price (market cap) makes no sense unless you think it's going to grow tenfold in a relatively short time. Per a Forbes article:
"Between 2014 and 2023, Tesla’s annual EV shipments increased at 56.7% average annual rate"
But now it isn't, which might be a problem for Tesla's backers.
