Where is the link to the other post on this site as you're yet to provide a link
Can’t find it as I didn’t post on it, not until it crops up again, may have been something to do with smart meters, not sure0 -

If thats the case why read anything on here ?
Even the experts we only have their say so
Do your own research from multiple sources and come to your own conclusions rather than relying on anyone else telling you what to believe, its like going on facebook and believing everything you see without bothering to check authenticity
Or if you have no interest in the subject matter, don't comment
EVs aren't a silver bullet, the charging infrastructure is still crap in places and range is still a limiting factor, they favour people who can charge at home, but the NESO are certainly not pulling power back out of the batteries4.29kWp Solar system, 45/55 South/West split in cloudy rainy Cumbria.3 -

They can suck it out too if they so wish

Ok, if it wasn't that thread then it must be being discussed in two separate places on the forum at once. That's unusual but entirely possible!Re. ignore lists, it's just another tool to let people enjoy the forum. There are a handful of forumites on my list, not because they're offensive but just because we have strong differences of opinion and neither of us is ever going to convince the other so it's easier to just not see their posts.N. I've read that when you put the nozzle into your petrol/diesel car, some garages suck out the fuel. Can't remember where I read it though.

This all reminds me of my dad who about a year ago was telling anyone who would listen that EVs are such a fire hazard that the repair centres that work on them keep them in widely spaced revetments, a bit like planes on a military base. Nonsense of course, probably picked up from Facebook.
Unfortunately the FF industry was quite clever in persuading some people early on that FF were part of their identity and therefore getting them to respond with emotional fear and hatred to anything that might threaten it - wind turbines, solar farms, EVs, heat pumps etc.Solar install June 2022, Bath
