The March figure is from BVRLA, which seems odd in itself - do lease cars usually provide mid-lease mileage date to the lease company?

Although I really like the red finish, I am thinking this might be a better bet:

EDIT - I see the white one has been kicking around since August, that's a long time and may have harmed the battery life.
Perhaps I'll skip this weekend and wait to see what comes to market next week.
The advantage of that one is the remaining Tesla warranty. I'd still be tempted to have a look at the red one though if it's not too far away?

That's interesting that you say that.

I have asked the garage about the mileage discrepancy - I don't think they know or will be able to evidence anything.

I also thought that if the inconsistent data point was a km distance entered as miles, with the conversion back to miles, it would look like this:

This is far more sensible, but it is a guess as to what happened.  Without verification, it seems illogical to go ahead.  It is not only the unknown now, but also the impact on a future purchaser when I eventually come to sell.

I would have thought that the dealer would have wanted the mileage record putting right? I doubt that clocking a Tesla is possible so the discrepancy has to be an erroneous submission or input error. As you said, setting the odometer to km rather than miles is a likely reason.

    You would have thought so.
I just took a return call from the Dealer.  Whereas this morning, their approach was entirely defensive and stating there could not possibly be an error and pinning the blame on me (incorrect registration number to HPI?), the Dealer has now accepted the discrepancy and says they will seek to resolve but in the meantime cannot go ahead with the test drive tomorrow.

I have now arranged to test drive a TM3 at Tesla, just so we can see what the type of car is like and should be like.  Assuming we like it, we will then start to look again for a suitable vehicle.

I also plan to drive around some motorway services to look at the availability of Tesla Superchargers vs other charger facilities as this will verify or discount my thoughts that the only EV suitable is Tesla because of charging infrastructure.  Failing that, I'll be back to another ICE.

You could use the zapmap app rather than physically drive around yourself. The comments on the app will give you a good idea how reliable the chargers are. You will also want to compare the costs various chargers.

Hi Grumpy_chap you seem to be in a mine field lol

I would have thought if you are going to check out Tesla chargers on the motorway you will probably have to go somewhere near the limit of your preferred car, no point looking close by as you should never need them

However if you do go back to ICE there will be a fuel station around every corner

For the time being.  Petrol stations will start closing down from the end of next year.

I want to physically drive to demonstrate to Mrs G-C and also understand how many are ICE'd - don't suppose any online tool shows that.

You'd probably find that the M3LR goes far enough on a charge to negate anything except the occasional top up charge. The advantage of only needing a top up to complete a journey is that you can do it at any time & don't have to wait until you're down to 10%.

Enjoy your test drive & make sure it's set for maximum regeneration so you can sample one pedal driving.

Actually topping up at a local(ish) supercharger is often the best option. if you only need a 15kWh charge to complete a journey you can look to add that anytime after 60 miles of driving.
