Thanks for your comment Spies, seems as though you are not the type of person I am addressing.0

What pumps are you on about?!
How do heating controls have a bearing on that???
No call for heat, no running pump, is that hard to understand?

It's a stalemate so either give in or don't have you cavity wall insulation.0 -
Were you put in touch with this company through your electricity supplier, or did they just appear on your doorstep one day?Are you sure that your walls are suitable for cavity wall insulation?0

The point I am making, I should have a right to decline.. for whatever reason. You can decline the complete offer, or you can accept it. You can't have half of it.Once they've fitted the controls, that's it. No-one obliging you to turn the boiler on.(There are requirements these days for minimum boiler controls, and I suspect they have to fit the controls to meet these rules.)N. Hampshire, he/him. I believe the funding for the free offers is all or nothing. For you, the CWI is not free - you need to pay by giving houseroom to some extra gadgets. If you want the CWI perhaps it would be worth finding out more about the reality of the controls - and how they could be set to do what you actually want (like simply be off!) I have all sorts of gadgets with capabilities which I never use, but never intrude on my life or bother me.

You say you don't need half the radiators on, so you could have the TRVs set to 0 in those rooms. If you have some rooms you can keep a bit cooler, could set to 2 or 3 and not on full as they would be without TRVs. Will save you a bit of money, so don't be so stubborn and turn down a good offer.Barnsley, South Yorkshire
