Free Cavity Wall wont do without controls
I was told I am entitled to CWI because I am on WTC, however when I said I didnt want heating controls as well they declined. I said that I will be using a log burner and dont need half the rads on in the property. They declined to install CWI unless I have these controls that I dont want. I feel I have a right to decline this, Has anyone else experienced this please?

What do you mean by 'heating controls'?0

They said I need a control on each radiator and some wall control so I can control my heating when I am out. I dont want to control my heating when I am out.0

Just accept it, doesn't mean you have to use it, it's not costing you anything?4.29kWp Solar system, 45/55 South/West split in cloudy rainy Cumbria.1

I hardly use the pump as it is, as I will be using a gravity fed log burner, which will suffice, just need cavity wall and I will be fine. I only have pay as you talk and my mobile is out of date to accept modern apps. I also dont want the extra electicity for a pump to be running when I dont require it.0

I just want the right to have cavity wall insulation without extras.0

Its daft having a costly unwanted system put in, I should have the right to decline it.0

What are you talking about, why would the pump be using electric if there isn't a call for heat.
You're making a mountain out of a molehill here.4.29kWp Solar system, 45/55 South/West split in cloudy rainy Cumbria.3 -
Sorry mate I assumed you knew that Pumps were run by electric. The point I am making, I should have a right to decline.. for whatever reason.0

Your first description could just be thermostatic radiator valves and a conventional thermostat. Are you sure it's a system with internet based control? Not that it would be any sort of problem if it were. You'd just have the option of additional control. Are you being asked to pay extra? If not there is nothing to worry about.ellajuk said:They said I need a control on each radiator and some wall control so I can control my heating when I am out.
