Where do they find these reporters - "fine" "penalty notice" "reaching out"?

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Just how long will be before  -  " Operators are becoming aware of this and should now be checking all ANPR transactions to ensure that this does not occur."

"As with all new technology, there are issues associated with its use:

    a)    Repeat users of a car park inside a 24 hour period sometimes find that their first entry is paired with their last exit, resulting in an ‘overstay’. Operators are becoming aware of this and should now be checking all ANPR transactions to ensure that this does not occur."

If i was presented wth this ( quoe form article)
""I went to Crown Point and tried to speak to the management team but they refused, saying it was nothing to do with them"
The next step would eb to present the pig ignorant management with a letter reminding them they are jointly and severally liable for the actions of their agents, that this ( as a double dip) is a breach of GDPR  ( for which the managemetn are alos responsible/iable for) and asking them why they are attempting to deliberaty misslead

  • ANPR ... the puzzle for me is....

Say you enter a car park at 11am and leave 2 hrs later within the given time limit, the ANPR should record this and I assume the camera also records it.
WHAT HAPPENED to that EXIT recording at 1pm ?

You return at 4pm for a further two hours and the ANPR on exit records says you have been there for 7 hours ?
WHAT HAPPENED to that ENTRY recording at 4pm ?

Hence the double dip but there are two recordings missing
Is this a flaw or knowingly a trap which is why they will not provide logs as both the missing two logs are actually there

My guess is that plin and simple its a flaw that they are reluctant to fix, or take action to solve  as its a lucrative flaw, and as for not providing the logs, that can only point at incompetence , or quite simply that the logs are not there as the system is flawed

(IMHO) the system is setup to use the first entry/last exit images IF there are an odd number of images for any given vehicle on any given day.

You are probably right. The system was devised by Smart in Australia

As we know such a system should be banned for these private parking scammers
