As well as the already known facts I liked he following:-
"Scott Dixon, Consumer Champion and Motoring Disputes Expert, shared on social media that the DVLA should charge private parking firms £20 to request driver information, not £2.50.He added: "They ought to clamp down on how personal data is misused by these parasites who use legalese jargon and intimidating tactics to extract money with menaces. It's a money-making racket.""

Presumably this involves inputting name of driver etc, which gives the PPC the detail they want.
Am I too cynical?5 -
Isaac Occhipinti, head of external affairs at the BPA added: "We are actually going to be meeting a number of MPs in a couple of weeks' time to discuss what potential changes we could make to the Code of Practice, because I think that's probably a quicker way to actually get changes to happen than to wait for the Government Code of Practice."That still won't make it mandatory, underpinned by statute. They really don't want that! Keeping it out of Govt control will allow them to tweak the CoP whenever it suits them and their members. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Will Hurley, chief executive of the IPC, said that the organisation wants to help the Government deliver its single Code of Practice and "have been supportive of that from the very beginning".
Really?
Funny how the Judicial Reviews say otherwise about the parking industry, who used victims' money to block the Code in 2022.
And although the JRs weren't funded by the IPC, there was an IAS Annual Report in which Will's friend Bryn Holloway slagged off and slated the DLUHC (2022) and Bryn's supposed introduction was considered by some to have the IPC's fingerprints all over it.
Supportive?
This industry?!

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Something far wrong when the BPA needs MPs to tell them what changes their Code of Practice needs to make it fair for motorists. A Code they’ve only just implemented needs changed already!!! Better leave the Parking Code of Practice to those with the knowledge and skills Mr Occhipinti, consultation is meant to happen before you implement a new Code not after.5

When you consider that the £2.50 dates back to POFA2012, whilst EVERYTHING else has increased
£20 per request for private data would be a good idea
Multiply that by the millions of parking tickets and there is a mega cah pot for Ms Reeves to use instead of damaging people and companies4 -

all driver detail requests should be made in writing one at a time, with each request reviewed and evaluated on its merits then either accepted or denied.
no electronic data link, just a charge to reflect the cost if a team of people reviewing each requestFrom the Plain Language Commission:
"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"4 -
"no electronic data link, just a charge to reflect the cost if a team of people reviewing each request"
With a "fine" of £100 reduced to £60 if paid within 14 days for any requests found not to have been in accordance with CoP/KADOE i.e. double dips etc.4 -
What the actual (****) is this!!!!
Are the IPC having a laugh, this speaks to what a misleading bunch of morons the IPC are....
The IPC have never mandated entrance signs, nor change of terms signs, this is misleading at best (and whilst the joint code covers it now, IPC members still l have until the end of '26 to implement the changes on signs).
