We should be flattered that two PPC-biased solicitors are clearly so worried about this forum and 'misinformation going to the Government' that they staged a Podcast chat that nobody except us will watch!
We are doing something right aren't we?!

The suggestion that IPC is impartial is either due to ignorance or lack of personal experience.
Myth continues...3 -

Myth continues...Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

This untruth certainly sounds like it shot out of the industry's mouth
"If your appeal is rejected or you cannot appeal, you could choose not to pay and see if the company takes you to court – but that could be risky and expensive".

The '5 min to pay or leave rule' in the news again. MP had to step in after Parking Charge Collections Ltd and IPC insist motorist pays pcn for 6 min car park stay.Such a pity the IPC BPA didn't address this unfair T & C at the time they were drawing up their joint CoP.I mean it's not as if they were unaware of it. Darlington's MP even had meetings with Will Hurley IPC CE about it.
It's an embarrassing mistake for both ATAs and it can't be erased by saying a new panel comprising of their members is to review the joint code just months after it's been published.2 -

Anyway, I am looking for people to interview for a study on this very topic, currently titled Understanding the landscape of private parking industry in the UK: The 'fine', the 'scam', and the fight. I am currently applying for ethics committee approval at my university to allow me to interview with full confidentiality. If you are interested in sharing your view, please
PM me with your email (NOT in the public posts). I will send you a full cover letter, approval from my university for conducting the study, consent form, for you to consider whether you would like to be interviewed. Thanks!6 -
"It's an embarrassing mistake for both ATAs "
It's more embarrissing for the government for NOT stopping this money making scam and failure to understand that both ATA's are not fit for purpose, especially the IPC
AND THIS ....... BPA NEWS .....New Panel to Oversee UK Private Parking Sector Code
https://www.britishparking-media.co.uk/news/new-panel-to-oversee-uk-private-parking-sector-code
WHO IS THE PANEL ??? Is this a revamp of thr so called "COIUNCIL OF REPRESENTATIVES" which consists of parking companies and their dodgy legals
Is the PANEL just another farce by the BPA and IPC

Great to be asked for a brief interview on ITV News Wales. - Ah Will bless ya
https://www.itv.com/watch/news/pensioners-call-for-fairer-parking-enforcement/5vh41yg
Spire hospital don't charge in Wales don't charge - but they do ask you to register....seemingly not so clear for these folk (and a lot of local residents too). Will sticks his oar in with, 'follow the appeals process, you've nothing to lose'.
What is 1000% worse is the commentary from the ITV reporter from 3min 20 secs, who goes on to state that "Private parking firms do have the powers to send round bailiffs to properties where the vehicle is registered. It can affect your credit rating ... some other rubbish, then - if you can, pay it straight away, like John there."
Apparently he had evidence he was there - not sure that means parking awareness would have dropped it, She then goes on to quote that 30-50% of appeals are upheld!! I cry lies!5 -
Could that be enough for a complaint to offcom over that so called news article? From the Plain Language Commission:
"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"3 -
