Yes, it is great that he is gathering evidence for the DLUHC:

"Dr Davies added that he is pleased that the Government has recognised a “wider issue” with the actions of some private parking companies. The Government has now published a “call for evidence” to support the development of a private parking code of practice.

He added: “I am putting together a letter to submit detailing some of the issues my constituents have encountered through private parking companies.

“If you would like me to submit particular points of view, please email me at james.davies.mp@parliament.uk.

“As ever, If feel you have received an unfair PCN, and have not yet paid it, then please do email james.davies.mp@parliament.uk and I would be happy to make representations on your behalf.”

    What a clued-up MP!

Oh WHY are people deluded enough to pay a poxy debt crawler?
    https://www.newarkadvertiser.co.uk/news/amp/pensioners-frustration-over-rising-parking-fine-9327492/

And it's only useless ex-wheelclamper chancers UKCPS who reportedly operate from a portacabin out the back of a pub.

    The victims are disabled.

    Nothing would have happened.

NO-ONE would pay this crap.  What is the matter with people?

Unfortunately, the gullible tree has way too much low-hanging fruit for the vermin to reach.

UKPC causing discontent again  -  the sign actually states £100 "issued in accordance with Private Parking Code of Practice".

    That's really useful evidence!

Now, the PPCs will probably all do this where sites include accessible bays - so like this one, I believe next year, signs will say "up to £100". Saves them spending on different signs for accessible bays, staff-only parking spaces, yellow hatched 'no parking' sections, etc.

OK so where is the loss of deterrent value?!

Another interesting part of that sign ... if you're a parent and have a toddler with you, you could technically get a PCN if you don't park in a Parent & Toddler space. ;)

And I guess any disabled people who don't park in disabled spaces but still show their badge.

A Northern Ireland Lidl which looks like it doesn't need any parking time restriction pointlessly lets equally pointless parking firm ParkMaven impose an hour maximum free parking:

Elderly and disabled people are having to seek help from the Consumer Council.

More furious back-pedalling from BPA's favoured “vampire kangaroo” (Macquarie) owned ParkingEye:
    https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/charity-volunteer-77-lands-170-27565205.amp

As soon as a paper sniffs around their 'rape & pillage' (alleged approach) money-pot, it seems the infamous
    “vampire kangaroo” PPC backs down.

    The driver's heinous crime?

    "He was
a volunteer driver who takes children, disabled and elderly people to medical appointments, and he was forced to park outside the main entrance because no other spaces were available. He took a wheelchair-bound man to his appointment on the first floor and returned to his car within 10 minutes, only to find he'd got a ticket - despite displaying an NHS patient transport sign on his windscreen."

Shame on you, Parking Eye. Just clear off.  Do something useful for Society instead of "bloodsucking" (MP's word, among plenty of others on Hansard records).
