None of us approve of this BUT, especially in London, where drivers are being attacked for money from greedy councils and parking companoes alike, we will see a lot more of this and it will spread
PEOPLE NOW HAVE SHORT FUSES

TAKE A BOW, UKPC AND THE BPA.
THIS is parking management, is it? No, IMHO it's a moneymaking aggressive scam; pure extortion that has no place in a retail park:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-66598824.amp"A pensioner said she felt "angry" and ill" after being sent a £100 parking fine for leaving her car "one inch" outside of a bay. Amal Bafaqih, who is 85, received the charge after visiting a retail park on April 5 this year.
Amal, who is disabled and possesses a blue badge, was sent a letter by parking management company UK Parking Control. It included a picture that showed her car slightly outside of the disabled bay in which she had parked.
Amal, who is a retired psychiatric nurse and has lived in Cardiff since 1981, said she is worried about the same happening to other disabled people. "I want all the disabled people to know what will happen to them if they fall into the same trap," she said. "This has to go on paper for everybody to see, everybody to know. Because I've been quiet for too long."
She has insisted she is not paying the fine and will continue to challenge it. "I'll go to prison, and I'm not paying. Take me to court, I'll defend myself."

More furious back-pedalling as soon as a 'paper' says they will publicise an unfair PCN:
This time it's UKCPM, named & shamed for the scammery of taking photos of a driver under his car checking a puncture caused by a nail:
https://www.thesun.co.uk/motors/23617671/fuming-jobsworth-parking-warden-flat-tyre/amp/
The 'ticketer' goon gave him 5 minutes to leave (which he did, despite the nail still in the tyre) then ex-wheelclampers UKCPM issued a PCN by post to his boss anyway.
"UKCPM insisted it was right to issue the fine but cancelled it after being approached" {by the Scum}.
The IPC must be sooo proud.

Well worth a read, this Bloomberg article shown to me by a financial journalist in the family:https://www.bloomberg.com/opinion/articles/2023-08-23/macquarie-s-vampire-kangaroo-jumps-on-uk-drivers?in_source=embedded-checkout-bannerhttps://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2023/08/23/macquarie-s-vampire-kangaroo-jumps-on-uk-drivers/006386aa-4180-11ee-9677-53cc50eb3f77_story.html
It's behind a paywall so here is the same article in the Washington Post. It is primarily about ParkingEye:
BRILLIANT ANALYSIS IMHO.
Read it all.
NICELY SAID, MATTHEW BROOKER.
Conclusion:
"The returns of companies such as Parkingeye are the tell that points to excessive value extraction. Car-park managers supply no added value or technological marvel to rival the iPhone; their contribution to human progress is automatic number-plate recognition.
For such a basic business to be more profitable than one of the most innovative companies in history suggests something is askew. The UK’s code of practice can’t come into force soon enough. It’s time for that giant sucking sound to stop."PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The publicity surrounding parking companies goes from worse to disgusting every day
One reason the parking cowboys are over active right now, is they know their scam bubble is about to burst3 -
"The publicity surrounding parking companies goes from worse to disgusting every day"
Obviously completely bypasses the DVLA and some landowners (Hospitals) - or they just don't care.3 -
Excellent analysis, well researched, informed by first-hand experience of PE's talons. I doubt somehow that POPLA will side with him, unfortunately. Hope he comes here to know not to pay this even if he fails at POPLA.

THE MP for Vale of Clwyd, James Davies, has created an online survey to gather information about constituents’ experiences about a controversial public car park in Rhyl.
