Coupon-mad said:Idiotic decision by the Falmouth Hotel to attack all their customers - AND THE HOTEL'S OWN STAFF - by letting ParkingEye loose in the car park:
https://www.falmouthpacket.co.uk/news/23571717.parkingeye-anpr-cameras-falmouth-hotel-cornwall-car-park/
"The company proposes to install a car park management system on the existing car park owned by Richardson Hotels Limited which uses automatic number plate recognition cameras (ANPR), to monitor the entrance and exit of vehicles within the car park."
THIS IS A LISTED BUILDING.
The Falmouth Hotel is named and shamed, along with ParkingEye for getting away with the spiel they trot out YET AGAIN, and Richardson Hotels Limited who actually fell for the crap about "ANPR providing rich data" and the yawn-worthy PEye special rhetoric about "deterring abuse", "improving footfall" - and all for free!
What could possibly go wrong?
Improving footfall at a hotel? Deterrent?! HAH! Targeting their own customers and staff is the truth, according to a PEye whistleblower:
http://parking-prankster.blogspot.com/2016/12/parkingeye-employee-reveals-their-rape.html?m=1
Did Richardson Hotels Limited take leave of their senses or just forgot how to Google and learn about the 'rape and pillage' approach?
https://cornishstuff.com/2017/03/22/newquay-parking-firms-slammed-by-double-mp-names-shames-notorious-outfits-who-damage-local-reputation-2/
Even the local MP knows about ParkingEye and what they do to businesses, their staff and the public.
@ Richardson Hotels Limited:
Come on, engage your brains and do some much-needed research before it's too late.
The number of actual 'car park abusers' there each month will be able to be counted on one hand. And guess what? To make their money back, ParkingEye will have to 'fine' HUNDREDS, especially in the first months.
OVER THE SUMMER. YOUR BUSY SEASON.
Guess who those victims will be?
Do you know what this will do to your TripAdvisor rating and reviews within months?
Do you know how difficult it will be to extract yourselves from a money-grabbing, reputation-ruining ANPR contract like this, as other UK Hotels have found out to their cost?Hmmm...did the Hotel read this and the scales fell from their eyes or did the local MP put them right and saved their Summer season?!
https://www.falmouthpacket.co.uk/news/23612865.parkingeye-anpr-cameras-falmouth-hotel-cornwall-car-park/
"Proposals to install number plate recognition cameras on poles at the Falmouth Hotel car park leaving it looking like some “futuristic prison camp” have been withdrawn."
Hopefully that's an end to it and one hopes that notorious money-grabbers ParkingEye were sacked off before it started. Couldn't have happened to a greedier ANPR 'PCN machine' firm.
YAY to Richardson Hotels Limited!
Dodged a bullet.

Echo must of baffled them with bad grammar and spelling mistakes, the odd iconic thrown in with some huge phrases and called them yobs or something? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

"So, given the passenger PAID BY CARD, why exactly did Group Nexus' payment processor inexplicably refund it?
They can't be bothered to explain that...and WHY are they going to the DVLA and blindly issuing a PCN, in these circumstances of failure to take the offered money at their end?"
They must be messing around with the capture delay which should only be used when a purchase cannot be immediately fulfilled.
We have seen a number of weird incidents with payments that are made and then drop off the radar or are pending in the payer's bank account and then disappear.
We know from past claims that information is tampered with.

Take a bow ES Parking Enforcement who seem to think they are exempt from the mandatory requirement for a consideration period, and are perfectly happy to charge £100 to people dropping a donation at a charity shop:

The IPC must be so proud of this dross.
Absolutely gobsmackingly clueless comments there.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Now it's time for the BPA to be proud of this crap publicity about their beloved fee-paying ex-clampers Civil Enforcement Ltdhttps://www.express.co.uk/life-style/cars/1785305/parking-fine-portreath-beach-car-park-charge/amp
Apparently even though this motorist paid for their 2 hours, the elderly lady "took too long" to pay in full that day while on site, even though she appealed pointing out the delay was due to their reportedly useless overly complicated system.
She is QUITE RIGHTLY refusing to pay, saying:
"it's their machine that's not working. I'm 77, I really don't need this type of aggravation in my life."CornwallLive has contacted Civil Enforcement Ltd for a comment and an explanation but hasn't had a response.
It's just crap isn't it?
Cornwall is plagued by aggressive bully parking firms ruining life for locals and tourists. Why do the IPC and the BPA support the 'parking management' farce?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

For those who are new and reading this thread, the BPA who are approved by government as an ATA, ARE NOT who you think they are ? The BPA IS ONLY A MEMBERSHIP CLUB with no authority apart from allowing their members access to the DVLA data base which is your private data.
They have set up what they call .."PoPLO", not to be confused with PoPLA
It stands for "Parking on Private Land Operators" to which membership comprises of the most common names we see on here ...Council Representatives:
- Conor Greely, Carflow Limited
- Grahame Rose, CP Plus Ltd
- Gary Osner, ZZPS Ltd
- Jamie Ashford, DCB Legal Ltd
- Mark Anfield, ParkingEye Ltd
- Stuart Harrison, UK Parking Control Limited
One can only assume that this is a Cartel operating
https://www.britishparking.co.uk/PoPLO
Government and the forthcoming consultation should take note as this is not in the interests of the general public
I suspect the same is happening with supermarkets, indeed when this week, MP's grilled the supermarkets, one MP asked "were they operating a cartel"

"The Ridealghs were sent a letter regarding the fine by Slough-based Parking Control Management (PCM), the firm which runs the parking at the Manningham site. They emailed PCM to notify them of the breakdown, on May 12, and included a copy of the RAC fault report."
(Rejected by the IAS - quelle surprise).
"They were initially fined £60 but as they did not pay within 14 days the cost of the fine increased to £100. The couple has been given a deadline of Tuesday, July 4 to pay the £100 fine. They say they will pay but wanted to warn other motorists about their experience."
Errrrr...WHY are they paying exactly, instead of complaining to the retail park and telling PCM's ex-clampers to go swivel?

How can Kent County Council be using Euro Car Parks and ANPR as a weapon to generate 'parking charge notices' (outside of the TMA) in a Country Park?
This is something they were expressly stopped from doing by the LA Ombudsman a few years ago!
What on earth are Kent CC doing?
https://www.kentonline.co.uk/maidstone/news/amp/driver-s-warning-after-overturning-two-parking-tickets-289234/
Also Councils are banned from using ANPR for parking enforcement. Banned in the Deregulation Act 2015.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
