Update: It seems after mentioning the ICO they suddenly found the information.

I now have the SAR info with plenty of photos attached, not sure what to do with this info.
However it doesn't look good, you can see one of the signs next to my car (It's brown and kinda blends with the wall tho) :(

You don't need to worry too much about the sign, you had permission to park from your father who had the right to give that permission in his lease. That sign is irrelevant, it offers you nothing that you did not already have, the right to park. That sign could say anything, but none of it matters. If the sign is not offering you anything new (consideration) it can not bind you to a contract. If you can kill their contract arguement they have no case.

BBC WatchDog “if you are struggling with an unfair parking charge do get in touch”

Please email your PCN story to watchdog@bbc.co.uk they want to hear about it.
Please then tell us here that you have done so.

Just an update for anyone who is wondering, I have checked the MCOL website daily, it's still just sat at the following claim history:

Your acknowledgment of service was submitted on 15/06/2022 at 07:50:14

Your acknowledgment of service was received on 15/06/2022 at 12:05:32

Your defence was received on 28/06/2022

They reallllllllly seem to be taking as much time as they want :(

It could be the Claimant's legals just stalling. Astonishingly, that puts you in limbo forever.

We saw BW Legal leave cases dormant at this stage for two years, then they suddenly 'unstayed' them all and people who had moved house were stuffed by a secret CCJ.

Search the forum for 'BWLegal unstayed' or 'lift stay' because I've posted before what to do about this by emailing the CCBC.

    I realise yours is Gladstones.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Because all MSE threads are on google, going back years as they are cached, a search on google may well find what you want by using keywords.

When these mickey mouse legals first started their rubbish, it did not cross their mind that google would be their enemy

As one of my neighbours has found, there is little else that you can do. She wrote to the PPC and told them to take her straight to court and stop messing about. This was ignored, and there is nothing we can do to force the issue. So the only course to take is to be aware, be vigilant and be ready when it does go to court. Make sure that you do not get caught be a stealth CCJ if you move house. Inform the PPC of the new address and tell them to erase all others
