What are you trying to do that the website can’t?derrick said:jon81uk said:Why not just go to gmail.com and manage your email on the website?
Because the website is dire, I cannot do most of the things that I can on WLM.
I can flag (star) email, sort it into folders and write messages. What else is needed?0 -
I used to like WLM but that was back in vista days
I did look at migrating onto W10 but it was suggested it may break on W10 updates hence needing more attention.
I migrated everything to Thunderbird and been happy with that
Multiple email accounts all the folder structure and historic emails going back years(2002 might be more)
its got a bit big 10GB+ needs a clear out.0 -

I have just tried this and got as far as allowing Thunderbird to access Google, but I keep getting the message "Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username or password". I have changed password but still get the same message.Neil_Jones said:All the details you need and how to do it are here:Well I don't know what you're doing but I've just downloaded Thunderbird, followed the instructions on the website and I didn't have to do anything beside put my name, Gmail address and Google password in, then sign into Google again as per the pop-up, confirmed 2 factor authentication on my phone and that's all there was to it.As per your error message, this might be of interest:The key thing is though: Thunderbird does work with Gmail. If it doesn't for you then you're doing something wrong.0 -

Question, how do I remove Thunderbird?

I have used WLM for years, for me it is easy, if I use Gmail on it's own for sending and receiving, all of my folders and the emails within WLM will not be available within Gmail, so I will not be able to call them up for quotes, attaching, etc.debitcardmayhem said:

Yes but as advised earlier you could have imported all your wlm stuff in TB , but you are confusing me and everyone else.derrick said:
