OK I have lost my WLM access again despite it returning for a couple of days.

I have tried accessing my WLM via my desktop but despite trying several different ways I still cannot fathom what I am doing wrong.

I put in 2 step verification on my desktop and had a code sent to my mobile, my mobile is showing on my desktop as verified and I can receive emails via Gmail into my mobile client, (I don't know the client as it just works and has done for years).

I cannot see where I am supposed to put the 16 digit code I received, but have put it into different locations, but every time I try to access WLM a pop up from:-  "Logon - Gmail (******) Please enter your username and password for the following server" this I do and I know they are correct, but it just keeps popping up.

I have downloaded Thunderbird and eM Client, but I cannot find any of them on my computer, Thunderbird just shows compose box but when I put a message to send to my Gmail account it just wipes out the email address.

If I cannot sort this sometime soon I am going to have to take it to a computer shop.

The computer shop will do nothing you can't do yourself, aside from deprive you of about £45.

Why not just go to gmail.com and manage your email on the website?

Because the website is dire, I cannot do most of the things that I can on WLM.

I have just tried this and got as far as allowing Thunderbird to access Google, but I keep getting the message "Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username or password". I have changed password but still get the same message.

In that link to Create IMAP account it says to, open File > New > Existing account.  When I do that there is no "Existing account" option in the drop down list
