Is my wife being unreasonable?

I wouldn't start looking up things in the bible - that would probably been seen that you are being drawn into the religion.

I’m confused… if you are not allowed to cook anything on a Saturday and also you’re not supposed to spend money or allow others to cook for you, how are you all supposed to eat? Also I feel like you need to put your foot down a bit. She told you that you couldn’t help your neighbour?! If it’s something you stand by doing, just mention (not ask) that you are popping out…job done. You are both adults!0

Sorry to hear about your dad.
Your wife is selfish and not living in the real world, only thinking about herself and not others around her. I don't know a solution, but if I was in your shoes I'd seriously consider the marriage.0 -
I think the basics of cooking are
The restriction is from sundown on Friday to sun-down on Saturday.
At present, you'd get Friday evening to prepare food to eat cold on Saturday and make a hot meal to eat before sundown. In the winter you make a hot meal that can be kept warm, as long as the heater/hot-tray is lit/switched on by sundown and on Saturday make something hot after sun-down
If you've ever been to the north-west of Scotland, you'll know that many accommodation providers will only provide cold food on Sunday, and are unlikely to permit you to arrive or depart on a Sunday. So cereals, fruit, bread for breakfast, with a flask of hot water if you are lucky and salads later.
Most facilities are locked or closed all day as well. The wee-free Sabbath tends to assume that events end early on Saturday night so that people get home and have time to prepare spiritually for the Sabbath. Things have slackened a lot in the last 20 years but there's frequent fury about new relaxations. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Friend staying in holiday accommodation hung out washing on a Sunday. She was quickly admonished for doing so.0

I can understand that people want to follow the rules of the religion they've chosen but can't understand why they want to force those rules on people who aren't part of their congregation.sheramber said:Friend staying in holiday accommodation hung out washing on a Sunday. It sounds like she is forcing her religion on you and your kids! Especially with what she has said to you about if she met you now she wouldn't be with you then I think the only outcome of this is a divorce!
At least you will get your freedom back on a Saturday...
PS - In my opinion, yes she is being unreasonable!1 -
