I think you are doing well.

I struggle with exec function too. We both achieve lots despite that.

Hope Teacup and Heavy being away is restful in other ways.

I will spare you all the details of how my day started. Except to say it was at 5.55 am🤦‍♀️
But I ignored my puritan self and went back to bed until 9.30.
Honestly my mind is so much clearer with them away SH even though my workload quadruples. And I don't have the same difficulty prioritizing tasks.

Like you, I am enjoying my pressure cooker multi cooker pot. Not yet done a chicken but I do regular curries and stocks  :)

Has it been a peaceful Sunday? I can appreciate it's hard work having to think for four instead of two. How much longer do you have the place to yourselves?

I can relate to the peace that comes with less people in the house. Not surprised you can think more clearly.

I'm sorry to hear it was stressful. Perhaps it's time you had a break, would that be possible? Even a few hours would be worth doing. I suppose when you are out of the house to work, however tiring that is, it's still a change and they say that's as good as a rest (I'm not convinced, but the different pace possibly helps).

I think knowing the cause I'm now more forgiving of myself than I was.

I say 'No' more upfront rather than taking too much on and regretting it - or ending up stuck doing things I've no interest in. The book The Way of Integrity helped me a lot with that.

If I'm really committed to doing something - I've started adding an extra appointment in my 'calendar' for travel (& any messing around time). I like to think it takes 20 minutes to get to work (door to desk it's more like 30) for example but if I have to lead something when I get there - I've been setting an appointment for 30 minutes beforehand for setting up. I'm still 'late' compared to the earlier appointment target time but still early compared with the real thing.

Sometimes I still mess up - but I've got better at texting people when I set off so they can adjust meeting times etc...

  • Thanks SH, something to think about.
Cherry Monday we have a carer in the morning and I got the evening carer to come an hour early.

Doc apt done and dusted. Not sure I had that much blood to give 🤣🤣🤣 Turns out physio waiting list is 6 months, I think I will try to go private. I bought a compact tens machine yesterday so see if that helps with my perception of pain in shoulder and calf.
