The drive out was a good idea for you all.
Do you have CSs nearby. For some reason ours always have cafetières. All the glass containers are the same size so you can swap them to your nice B. one. That said, if you are a coffee addict like me, only NOW will do  :)

Overdo as in leaving it to brew too long, or putting too much in the pot? Or tea as in the meal?

DH likes loose tea so he has a traditional tin for his and it works well. I use those coffee jars with the glass lids (washed out, obviously), for tea bags because it stops them leaking all over the shelf and keeps them dry. However, I have a whole cupboard of teas and coffees as I like different ones and people give them as gifts.

  • The boden one is actually some sort of plastic. It's a travel mug with a cafetiere lid.
It may have cracked as I refused to accept that you couldn't put it in the dishwasher.

Overdo it as in have 5 cups a day 🤦‍♀️
I was thinking something that I could put 3 bags in plus some decaf and then something like rooibos as well. Just something that visually reminds me that the decision has already been made. And maybe something that is not tea as well.

Oh my Boden travel cafetiere did exactly the same... I tried gluing it but trapped moisture between the layers so now it's a mess and may even end up being binned.

Does better storage really reduce tea consumption? Unless you are thinking of freezing it in blocks of ice, having a safe with a timer, or asking someone who talks for hours to store it for you, I'm not sure storage will solve your problem... if I were desperate enough I'm sure I'd break open another day's supply. :D You may be more controlled than I am.

Perhaps you are looking for small clip lock boxes where you could write the day of the week using one of your new pens?

...and I've been searching the Bodum site, they seem to do replacement cafetiere lids, but not the main cup. :(

The boden design is very old for that sort of thing.  I'm talking over 40 years.  I know that around the mid 80s someone (not Boden) designed a cafetiere capable of going in a microwave as I worked for both in a way & still have both.  One of these companies are not high on my list as they screwed over their importers, stole their sales manager & then used his customer info to steal their customers.  You might know the sales manager was public school educated, ring bells it seems to be par for the course.
