  • Thanks SH and evebeme.

The Wise transfer went well. Paid for the fast transfer option and it was there in seconds which is probably the biggest advantage over bank. As well as knowing instantly the amount.

A very big financial frog has been eaten. I had a missed mortgage payment from April that has finally been paid. That has been hanging over me for a while. It will be a couple of months before I am back on track with debt repayment.

Work is finished now for the week and if the carer turns up tonight I'll be off for a relaxing swim.

Well done on the mortgage payment. Not easy playing catch up.

  • Today's salad. Bit harsh making dad eat raw kale but has to be done
  • Teacup looked after bedtime last night so my evening was half planning, half documentary about Henry Darger. Not sure I could manage writing 15000 pages and illustrating them.
My thoughts are quite muddled, going back and forth. The annoying thing is just the disposal of the rubbish. I drew out a map of the flat and garden which made me remember the garden waste store pile which also needs to go.
I also remembered today that the flat will have to be deep cleaned. Oy with the poodles.
I think I may just bag up all the waste when I get there, see how much I have got and make the decision then.
    Moving on.

Mortgage payment gone from 479 to 485 to 519 per month. Need to put a buffer in that account as the last payment failed due to a rate rise I didn't know about.

Heavy bought me the chair I wanted which was lovely, sitting outside in it now with my tea and planning papers.

After watching the flat videos and looking at old photos I have come to accept that I did become a hoarder. I can only be grateful I didn't get too bad. And that it wasn't the only thing I became.

There are things I liked and things I didn't about how I used to live. It was what I knew at the time and I did the best I could.

Sounds like the time away has given you a great perspective and you can go back with a new mindset.

You have encouraged me to let go of more of my stuff too

  • Thanks SH, if I can't be a good example I'll just be a horrible warning 🤣🤣🤣

Was full of beans (ok, sugar) last night so went off to ikea to get packing boxes and bags. As it turns out, ikea is some sort of Saturday night outing for a lot of people 🤷
All those crowds and they didn't even have what I wanted.

Yesterday went according to meal plan anyway, made shredded beef for dinner. Teacup came home the other day with a bag full of blackberries and a hopeful look. So dessert was apple and blackberry crumble with cream.

Plan for today is have a cup of tea, shower and get dad up. Then it's off to get the Sunday paper and some ingredients for baking later.

I will be adding Dad and Me Week to my planning list as Teacup has decided to go and see the grandson next week and heavy will be away.

Crumble sounds fab. I still have some left.

Sorry Ikea didn't have what you wanted.
