  • SH friends have sort of melted away in the last year, not that I had many to begin with. If I'm honest I want to feel the sense of satisfaction from cleaning up my own mess.
    Unless the gardener is reasonable.
  • Stymied I did consider that early on but I don't know anyone useful like that sadly.
I don't mind people in the space, I'm not that kind of hoarder.
The type of thing I do is start projects and not finish them. Then all the various bits and bobs build up. I have a problem with interpreting body sensations and managing my energy. I can get really far into something, past the point of no return and then have no energy (mental or physical) to finish it.
My biggest problem (that I am aware of) is not being able to put all the information together. I am learning to make choices but it is a slog.

Sounds like you’re doing really well, @WelshmansDaughter. It’s hard having to learn stuff that other people just seem to magically know isn’t it?!
  • Tbh @stymied the more I see of the world the less I think anyone knows what they're doing.

Your done list is looking good!

You are making good progress. A great decision just to let things go. Less to worry about then.

I know the feeling of over-committing and then lacking the follow through... I'm lucky mine is part painted areas or masking tape hanging on (for years cough) rather than anything more major.

  • Home from work yesterday with pink arms and ringing ears. Smallest hooligan decided her hands and feet needed to be painted pink 🤦‍♀️

Dad went to sleep at a reasonable hour last night, made the adult decision to go to bed instead of working on anything. Bit frustrating but had to be done.

Signed up for Wise to transfer money to the UK. I did a big transfer via bank and it was a lot less than I was expecting so I had a look for alternatives.

Revolut could be another option. PM me if you want a referral code. I used it to send transfers for free when DS was in Oz.

I think Revolut could be having problems at the moment. I was about to join til til I read the terrible reviews. I wouldn't trust it with large sums of money.
