Oh that was done before it was even dragged outside. It is just the coils now held with strange metal. Apparently it was quite an expensive mattress (my friends) and I had thought that some of the materials could be salvaged for other purposes. But no, just a thin layer of rather odd fleece and then coils. I think she was ripped off.

In a manner of speaking Cherry, I did have a bed day reading. But was frustrated at not being able to do stuff. And in the end I did some work and took my laundry down to the petrol station machine

22 days left. Not that I have a countdown timer or anything.

Yesterday was a surprise as I was working with someone new. He is very chilled. I didn't know what to do with myself. I finished early as it was a Monday but schools are off so no school run. I took myself into town and had a pret and wander about the shops. Luckily I was too tired to buy much and mostly just wandered. I did get a drawing board in h0bbycraft which is a purchase I have been considering for a while. I went in to see the desk I was considering- I found it better to see things in real life because it means I can see things I may not have thought about. And so it was with the desk- it was not height adjustable and sat too low to the ground.

Speaking of orders, I ordered a dehumidifier which was supposed to be delivered yesterday and never arrived. No contact from delivery courier and now the big river has said it is estimated for delivery on the 24th 🤷. Pretty poor when you think that convenience is pretty much the only reason to buy online. I have noticed that my cough is worse at home, I had to get up and put the radiator on the other evening to take the chill out of the air. As the flat is not insulated it can get quite damp, so hopefully the dehumidifier helps.

Working until 16.30 today and then home for a rest. No shift at the care home this evening as my cough seems to be bad later in the day.

Worth getting in touch with big river if you can be bothered as best part of a working week delay for something you've paid for convenience of and for health reason is pretty shoddy. Fair enough these things happen but they should have communicated that to you

As I suspected would happen, the delivery came today when I was not home. I have rebooked it for Friday- this is unlikely to work either, if I see my neighbour I'll ask him if it can go there but who knows.

Long, long day today working on a job I don't know well with someone I haven't worked with before. Honestly part of me was enjoying the challenge of getting so much done, it does feel a bit like it revs my engines. But the car is going nowhere.

Other work have overpaid me this week which is rather convenient as I am not likely to do any shifts this week due to my cough and feeling exhausted. I'll stay at sisters tomorrow night so I can get some stuff done and not have such an early start on Thursday.
