They had me at helpful scripts Cherry. Thanks I'm going to add that to my list. And hopefully it encourages the algorithm to send me more of the same.

Sitting outside (in October!), the coffee shop is in a shipping container. Am staying at my sister's to look after the cat while they're away, so am basically on holiday in the posh part of town.

I've been reading Sidetracked Home Executives to try and establish a regular tasks system. Now that I am finishing up at the coal mine (3 days to go!!!) I hope that my time can be better distributed.

ETA the next thing is to have a nosy in the charity shops for a winter coat and some trousers.

Turned the wrong way as I came out of the old railway line and so ended up at the posh charity shop first. No luck there although one potential coat. Was spoiled though with all the labels and natural fibres and couldn't see past all the polyester in the other one.

Today I managed to work 40 minutes over my time. Did I claim it as overtime? Nope. Will I enjoy a nice long cup of tea and cake tomorrow? Yup.

Have finished Sidetracked Home Executives (thanks to bath no 2) and have food for thought. My life is so disconnected and random. I have way too many unfinished projects and there is no room for day to day life.

I have been to b and q twice this week and so far not ventured into the garden centre. Miraculous.

This morning's purchase was three clear containers for the kitchen in my sister's house. I've been cleaning bits and pieces while I'm staying there. I mean literally bits. Last night I cleaned one third of the sink counter in the bathroom. I was thinking I wouldn't need to buy anything as I have been encountering containers as I go but they have all been earmarked for something. And the kitchen makes my eye twitch so that needs containers.

Penultimate day. Slightly sad but honestly have been realising how much my mood has been affected in this job. It has been very lowering, never getting anything finished, following random rules plucked out of nowhere, always going after more more more.

Happy last day for tomorrow. A shame its a badly run workplace but that is not your burden to bear. I have been extremely impressed that you embarked on a whole new working adventure and hopefully it's, um, broadened your horizons even if not in ways anyone would select to have their horizons broadened 😁

Seriously, well done for doing it and well done for working hard at it and I hope it has given you lots of skills and scope for other things in the future you might not even be aware of yet 🥂

The penultimate day finished with a bang. Literally as I arrived by the depot with a very flat tyre. I enjoyed this way too much. So very fitting as I did the exact same thing first month I started there.

Have been singing one day more from Les mis all day.

Randomly booked a ticket to a free dance event. It is this Friday which is not a lot of time for my brain to adjust to the idea of going out. At night time. To a place I don't know. But then I think curiosity will over ride this as it is in the old swimming baths and I'd quite like to see those.

Last day. I was surprisingly anxious going to bed last night, so much so I thought I was getting ill (hard for me to tell). Fear of the unknown rather than thinking I've made a mistake in leaving.

How did the last day go? I hope you get a better night's sleep tonight. I'm sure it was a good decision.

They took me off the nice job and put me on one that is 90% stairs, dirt and disadvantage. It's like they wanted me to be happy I'm leaving 🤣

Hasn't quite sunk in that I don't have to go back. Probably because I am just experiencing the drain of adrenaline and am so weary.

I am noticing a small difference though in positivity. I feel like I can make plans and do things now.

First official day of not getting up to go to work. It appears my new job is as a cushion for the cat.

Decided that yesterday I would go out in nature and meet my social obligations so that is something off the list. Came back knackered though but took a rest for an hour then started on the cleaning. All nephews room cleaned and hoovered as well as landing. Kitchen counters all cleaned and reorganized. I've staged an intervention and removed the completely useless fruit basket tier thing as there was a powder mould explosion. I replaced it with a nice wire basket.

Woke up at 3 am with period pain. Which on the bright side explains the unhinged eating and spending of the last few days. But on the other is damned tiring.

House is as clean as my energy will allow. Have come to the conclusion that it is basically a very expensive laundry basket. Will be dreaming about small toy cars.

They will be back sooner than I had planned for. I had thought they would be back late this evening so I planned to stay another night which now I slightly regret. I am longing for my own bed. But that being said it is very comfortable here with all the mod cons. Like a holiday home.

I have booked my shifts for next week and have been co-opted into looking after the boys on Friday. It has begun. I didn't mind until I realised that it will be raining and I would be stuck indoors with all three of them.

I have been having a recurrence of endo and stomach symptoms since going back on tea and cakes. I would like to go back off them as I dislike that constantly churning stomach feeling. Something to work toward but maybe once period monster has retreated to its cave.
