I think this is a time to look after yourself with the same care and attention you'd give the little 'uns.

Cleaning the house was for the most part needed. After being so demoralised at work about never getting to finish anything or do quality work, having rooms that met a standard and were complete gave me vital wellbeing feelings. And it is was helping me with some of my thinking for my SHE index system which I think I'll be using for the regular stuff like cleaning tasks.

My head is spinning though after being here with everyone today.

    Positive organisation changes

My calendar sends me an agenda every morning. Harder to forget things even when I'm tired.

I set my calendar up the week before. Not quite 100% on this yet but a very big improvement overall.

In the process of setting up m0nzo so I have pots and virtual cards.

Shifts booked two weeks ahead. Not sure the rota they put out was right so will check when I'm in. Have actual plans for the next two Saturdays which means no shift but will hopefully be up to four shifts a week in November. But probably best to ease myself in as I am exhausted.

Eldest nephew decided to inform me at 6.30am that he was going to his grandma's. And to check where I would be. He prefers it when I stay at his house. I do not. The mattress on the spare room bed is monastic in its comfort level.

Mostly been on the bed since I got home. Cell like mattress and hormones combined to give me a sore back so I'm just spaced out listening to the dehumidifier. 89% when I got home 🤦‍♂️

We got a S!lent Night thick mattress topper for the sofabed and it is so good. Obviously it's a spend but in my opinion a decent night's sleep makes everything in life much more bearable, especially when hormonal nonsense is occurring

Of course. Followed by bubble bath and reading yourself to sleep.

I did the next best thing PiP and folded a duvet in half to act as a topper. Helped a little. Glad to be back in my own bed though.

I am missing the regular baths Cherry now that I am back in my own place.

Worked a shift last night, went ok. Was a bit sluggish thanks to hormones and not wanting to leave the house. Raining today so won't be going anywhere. The plan is to rearrange the room so it is easier to clean and my work station is accessible and usable. Will this happen or will I have another nap day? Who knows. Work this evening anyway, need to not spend the entire day anticipating it.

Feeling a bit sad now, they are all at the pumpkin picking this morning. And I am not. And no effort was made to include me. Which is helping me learn a painful but much needed lesson.

I started the room rearranging on Wednesday. I like the new layout furniture wise. I've designed it so the old kitchen table is now the workspace. I now need to remove everything from its old space and figure out what is going where.

Supposed to be going out tonight, I had hoped the storm would be so bad I could cancel but maybe now looking forward to it a little bit. It's with my old work, I'm not planning to stay late.

Experience gained this week- I don't spend enough time organising what I'm going to eat. Currently having takeaway for breakfast because I got home after two days childcare to no food in the house.

I'm sorry you didn't get asked to the pumpkin picking. Perhaps they think of it as core family time, but I don't think they could manage without you and you mean a lot to the boys so I think if the children had been asked, you would have been invited.

Well done for getting a room layout that you are happy with. I find these things disruptive but fun - though DH doesn't like furniture to be moved so it's not something we've ever really done. It's amazing how much better things feel when you hit the right spot.

I think perhaps you should treat yourself to a pumpkin, even if it's just you who sees it. Such a warm, cheerful colour and what's more, you can roast it with spices and make soup, so there's a Vitamin A boost right away.

Enjoy your evening out - hopefully the storm won't blight it but take a torch just in case!
