Thanks PiP.
I've started three advents based on the stuff that's important to me just now.
1. vegetables
2. Flat
3. Somebody Cares
I've kicked off Vegetadvent with Samphire for breakfast.
It's the only list that is complete so far and involves a different vegetable every day.
The other two are still undecided for today2 -
Just stirred my tea with a fork. Adulthood win.
Somebody Cares advent was a cortado and cookie from the nice coffee shop and then fish and chips for dinner. Although that may have also been because I was knackered.
Flat Advent (fladvent?) the slightly embarrassing task of removing the snails from the bathroom. And their poo.1 -
Advent Snail day sounds to me like a variation on the Christmas Armadillo. Well done for tackling them!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

Tea got stirred, you had nice food, you improved your bathroom and probably the snails lives, definitely a win of a day 🥂2

ADVENT
Veg- cavolo Nero in a nice mix from Tesco with honey butter. Not sure I could taste the honey especially not after I drowned it in cheese sauce from my Mac n cheese.
Flat- measuring the window for a blind so I don't look like I'm one step away from using cardboard window treatments with my current two curtain and hook solution.
Somebody Cares - booked a hotel stay for Saturday night. Technically did it last night as cashback was to be had. £36 for one night including breakfast. Keep all fingers crossed for room with a bath.
Did that thing this morning that happens after payday. Ooh look how much money I have. Then started subtraction. Have to pay this need to buy that. Bye bye money.
Weather was strange (or perhaps it was my body) today. Was freezing leaving this morning then overheated and dehydrated by 1pm. Bought juice and Sprite and sweets and removed layers. Then got cold again by 3 🤷

Fingers crossed for a room with a bath!
Weather was much the same here, I was adding and removing layers all day3 -
ADVENT
Vegetable - spinach. It was creamed and covered in cheese but still counts.
Flat - make the spring task list. Hopefully it will happen before my eyes close. Have just realised I can type it in my phone rather than make the effort to open my notebook.
Somebody Cares - indulged my cheese craving and bought rumble dethumps, creamed spinach and cheesy cauliflower. The cauliflower is for tomorrow although I do have a packet of cheese and onion crisps...
Managed to knock the lamp off the table and broke the bulb 🤦♂️ Was living life by candlelight until I could remove the old bit with a pliers.
The important lesson to learn here is not to work until 7pm.3 -
I found out the hard way that pushing myself beyond a certain point leads to things going wrong. Nowadays I try to let myself stop. If I'm tired I am more likely to make mistakes or be clumsy.
Are the crisps going to be the crunchy topping on the cheesy cauliflower?I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

ADVENT
Vegetable - it was going to be tenderstem broccoli. Which did make it to the plate and I think I ate two maybe three before the boys needed attention. It was an option that needed more energy. Luckily the other thing on my plate was cauliflower cheese. So todays veg is now cauliflower.
Flat- did nine hundred things today it feels like. However the electrician came and gave me lights which is most definitely advent magic. Even if I am currently not using them because they frighten me a little and I can't remember where all my light switches are. Plus I feel like the flat in it's current condition requires mood lighting 😂
Somebody Cares - I'm pretty sure I did do something but can't for the life of me remember oh hang on yes it was read my MRI appointment letter and questionnaire.
The crisps are a distant memory, they went down in a haze yesterday. I do feel like the cheese covered meals were all things that would be better if you made them yourself.
The electrician came this morning, very nice man who fixed my lights up with a temporary patch and didn't charge me. He is going to email a quote. So of course today was the day the other people emailed theirs 🤦♂️
No brain power left to do anything but eat cake and drink the juice that has been in the car boot all day.
